But the difference in Trump and Fiorina is he freely admits knowing and getting along with Hillary Clinton or anyone else as part of being a businessman. He just says she was a terrible sec of state and would make a worse president. I have never heard Fiorina in any interview say she likes Hillary Clinton. She blasts her like she’s the wicked witch of the north any chance she gets. Believe me the video of her praising Hillary Clinton to the moon will come back to bite her in the ass.

“Ted Cruz may be brilliant, but he doesn’t really have the appealing magnetic personality for president.”

He might look at Nixon, who was not physically attractive or warm, yet had the ability to give engaging speeches.

Trumps experience is that he has exhibited a lot of success.

Carly has been successful getting the job, but she has failed in the jobs she gets.

Carly is a presentation. As long as that is all you see it looks good.

Just don’t ask about what happens when she gets the job. Others get burned, Carly gets a golden parachute for failure.

The TV ads write themselves.

Trump drops 8 points; Fiorina increases 12 points. Rubio surges to 4th place. What the heck is the American voter thinking? Ted Cruz is a brilliant, Conservative and he's getting no traction. This nation is missing a great opportunity.

It's the result of a unified press touting fiorina. Don't worry, it will all work out.

I watched the entire video and see no difference whatsoever between the two, other than purpose - Fiorina used HRC as a segue to highlight the double standard women in leadership roles face, as well as an opportunity, as a McCain surrogate, to capitalize on the sour grapes many HRC supporters held during the early part of the 2008 campaign.

Trump made his comments as a private citizen, well before he decided to run for president; essentially, then, he was simply expressing his true admiration, vocally affirming his six-figure support for the Clinton Family’s efforts.

There is a reason people pass him over. It isn’t his conservatism, it is mostly style and personality. He has to talk with folks, not at them. Hope nobody gets mad at me, but unless Ted changes things, he could never win in a general election

You're entire post is spot on...we love him but he hasn't shown an ability to bring in those who don't love him.

“Ted Cruz is a brilliant, Conservative and he's getting no traction. This nation is missing a great opportunity.”

A poll, at this time, this far out, is a phone call to any person and doesn't take into account whether this person, next year, will show up at his/her voting precinct to vote in the PRIMARY. Many people don't even know it is the Primary that determines who will be the actual candidate on the November ballot and they just vote in November.

Back to Cruz: The polls in Texas were wrong when Cruz ran against the Lt. Gov., for US Senator. He wasn't supposed to win if one went by polls. He won handily. I think he's the one candidate where polls don't reflect the grass root voters contacted by Cruz's teams, who actually turn out to vote.

Cruz was/is an organizer and from what I have read, his system is the same type he used in Texas for the Senate seat, which now will cover states by his teams who are chosen state by state. Those teams, by county, contact voters in their county and push Cruz and get them to go vote for him.

I don't think Trump has such an organization and voters who don't watch TV much, or just watch entertainment TV, aren't getting a big dose of Trump. These voters will be contacted by Cruz teams.

I used to work with the Texas State Republican Party and candidates and became acquainted with how district and state candidates organized their campaigns. I chose the candidates I wanted to work for, and was responsible for contacting voters in my county and kept in touch with the candidates as I went through the process. It takes dedication to hold a phone to the ear to call voters for hours every day, day after day. Using my psychology training, I usually made a friend of voters I called and they voted for my guys/women.

I also put together primary voter lists for other counties, using Access and Excel data spreadsheets, that these district and state candidates needed. I think most people think a candidate signs up to get his/her name on the ballot and that is all they do.

I know how complicated it is to get data together and put together teams and other workers in order to win an election. That is why I know how organized Cruz is with his campaign and why I don't think polls reflect what is happening on the ground, in the grass roots where the voters actually are. I don't think Trump is putting together the organization he needs - I think he is relying on his “great” TV appearances to get voters and I know that doesn't cut it, you have to get to the individual voter before the primary and then contact again shortly before the Primary to get them to the polls.

So, don't give up on voters for Cruz at this time. Debates are important for candidates to get their message out but they are not nearly as important as getting the candidate's full message to individual voters; polls are interesting and mean there is interest, generally, in these individual candidates, but it's more important to get to the individual voters. (How much of a candidate's message got to voters in this last debate? What we got was Trump said Carly was ugly, Jeb complained about what Trump said about his wife, etc...)

Fiorina has no broad appeal. She has destroyed every company she has managed. And she executed the horrible hp-compaq deal after the tech bubble had already burst. She was also a board member at TSMC for a couple of years, and she barely showed up at all for the meetings. She’s a terrible manager.

Jeb and Co. know this, so they’re propping her up, only to bring her down later. Same goes for Carson, policy-wise in terms of positions on amnesty, etc. in reality Carson and Fiorina are very close to Jeb. Rove knows that Trump is the only threat since he has unique positions. Once Trump is out, Rove will attack Fiorina for being a failure as a manager, and Carson for being inexperienced compared to Jeb and the MSM propaganda networks will eat it up.

I know, just making a point.

He did call McConnell a liar. That was good. But what he’s done, bucking the establishment, does pale in comparison to Trump. He - and Paul, etch -mstill follow the PC rules regarding interviews and debates. Trump makes his own.

Fiorina doesn’t have a warm or likeable personality either. I’m hoping people see that eventually.

Facts are facts. She was fired from HP and destroyed Lucent.
A lady in the Trump crowd in NH told Trump and everyone listening that she was worked for Lucent for 37 years and lost everything, to include a half million dollars in retirement due to Fiorina’s management of the company. HP wanted to get rid of her so bad they gave her 21 million dollars in a severance package. I think she would make a good VP for Hillary Clinton.

I agree with you about Cruz and have posted similar comments. But he is a smart guy and I expect him to adapt by the next debate.

I do believe that his style is still effective in a long form format like a set speech or a legitimate debate where, in fact, he excels.

I was just posting on this topic-—Cruz’s campaign-—to a Freeper who was excusing Trump’s statement that he would have no problem considering a Muslim for his cabinet or his ticket.

I’m not worried about Cruz. I read his book, and in it, he talked at length about his Texas Senate campaign.

He was running against a very popular, wealthy, self-funded opponent. In contrast, Ted had almost zero name recognition. According to one estimate, and allowing for the margin of error, he was at one point polling at -1. He was told over and over that he had no chance of winning.

But Cruz’s specialty is, as he puts it, the “modern, grassroots guerilla campaign”. He plays a long game, and while Trump’s tabloid thing goes on, Cruz is laying ground in every state, hiring staff, and money is rolling in.

Mark Levin said it just the other night-—next year, the polls will look nothing like they do today.

And let me add that I’m getting sick of the “Cruz has no charisma/warmth, etc.” and “women don’t like him” memes. Both are false; anyone who pays a moderate amount of attention knows that.

Cruz has a talent for connecting to people at the grassroots level. When he was introduced yesterday at the Iowa Faith and Family Coalition, the host said, “This guy is a rock star.” The audience seemed to agree.

And there was a FR article recently from some liberal source that was surprised Ted connects very well with women.

The problem I see with Cruz is that he is too intelligent. His responses come off scripted - even though I am sure they are spontaneous- because he thinks so much faster than the average Joe. His responses in the debate lacked any pauses- understandable since the moderators kept cutting him off so he had to talk while he can. But it makes it harder for the average person to follow along.

SC justices can keep up with him, but not everyone is in that category.

His strength is his conservative message and he just needs to keep at it. Others - Carson, Fiorina for 2 - will just beca flash in the pan, and as ling as he is the steady tortoise, he will bypass the RINOs. I hope.

His fundraising has been pretty spectacular so he’s impressing a lot of people.
