187 House Members Vote for Baby Homicide
Townhall.com ^ | September 19, 2015 | Michael Brown

On Friday the House voted 241-187 to defund Planned Parenthood, and shortly after we posted this news on our Facebook page a man named Domingo commented: “How appropriate: 187 voted against defunding. 187 is the police code for homicide.”

This is beyond ironic.

Let’s remember that this was not a vote to overturn Roe v. Wade and to ban abortion on demand.

This was not even a vote to ban late term abortions or, more extreme still, a vote to guarantee medical care for babies that survived abortion attempts.

This was as basic as it comes: a bill to defund Planned Parenthood, something that has been way too long in coming but now cannot be avoided in the aftermath of the release of the Planned Parenthood videos, videos that can only be called ghoulish and barbarous.

Trafficking in baby parts for profit.

Sipping drinks and enjoying dinner while talking about selling the livers of aborted babies.

Medical trays filled with tiny arms or eyes or legs and doctors talking about how much money they can make off of this fetal harvest.

These are monstrous acts rightly compared with the Nazis’ medical use of the brains of children they euthanized in mental hospitals.

Yet 187 representatives, almost all of them Democrats, would not vote to defund Planned Parenthood.

During Wednesday night’s presidential debate, Gov. Chris Christie claimed that, “[Hillary Clinton] believes in the systematic murder of children in the womb to preserve their body parts … in a way that maximizes their value for sale for profit. . . . It is disgusting, and the American people need to hear it. We shouldn’t be fighting with each other. She’s the real opponent. She’s the real problem.”

Note carefully those words: “the systematic murder of children in the womb to preserve their body parts.”

This is what Planned Parenthood does so well.

There are plenty of other alternatives for women’s health care – about 13,540 of them, to be precise, as seen clearly in a graphic produced by the Alliance Defending Freedom and Charlotte Lozier Institute, the education arm of the Susan B. Anthony List.

Why not redirect the government’s funding to these clinics if the real issue is caring for our country’s women? Could there be more to the story?

According to a 2012 report on LifeNews.com, “government grants and funding to Planned Parenthood in the last reported year 2009-2010 was $487.4 million—and so far $12 million from the non-profit has been given to re-elect President Obama. That’s right. This organization that cares so much about your cervix cares more about it’s [sic] proverbial booty.

“Never before has the abortion provider spent so much money in an election, reports say.”

Could it be as simple as recognizing that Planned Parenthood and the Democratic Party are in bed together?

Perhaps so, but I believe it’s even worse, transcending finances and political allegiances.

It’s the mutual embrace of a culture of death, a degrading of babies’ rights in the name of women’s rights, an embrace so deep that the 2012 Democratic Party platform opposed “any and all efforts to weaken or undermine” a woman’s “right” to have an abortion, calling for ongoing federal funding for the termination of beating little hearts in the safety of the mother’s womb.

In light of this, it is not at all ironic that 187, the number of those voting against the defunding of Planned Parenthood, is the police code for homicide.

May those 187 be remembered for their covenant with death (unless they have a change of heart), and may a rising culture of life reveal the depravity of their vote.

This is hardly a matter of politics.

It is a matter of life and death.

We can live with these people in a harmonious united nation.

No need to worry about conflict.

Three Republicans broke ranks to vote against the funding freeze: Reps. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.), Robert Dold (R-Ill.) and Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.). The Democrats voting to defund were Reps. Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.) and Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), who are both opposed to abortion rights.

Homicide is too general a term, murder is more accurate.

I’ll bet many of these same 187 would vote to ban the sale of veal or foie gras. Fresh baby parts; not a problem.

These 187 House members should be indicted, tried, convicted, sentenced and publicly hanged in a Nuremberg-style trial for their complicity in genocide of persons in the womb, crimes against humanity, and treason.

Its not relevant that 187 voted or who the 187 are.

The key votes were decades ago in the SCOTUS decision on abortion.

The key votes were in the early 90s when congress authorized the use of fetal tissue in research.

The GOP is not really trying to change anything. They just want to throw this up because they think it will help in election 2016.

The same thing with the Iran nuclear agreement, its for the 2016 election.

As Rush Limbaugh has often said, “words mean things.” Let’s stop calling these people “pro choice”, and start referring to them by the more accurate term “anti-life.”

You are correct. They are anti life. Pro choice can mean to chose life not death

Thanks for the list.

Dan Lipinski is reliably pro-life despite being a Chicago Democrat - he voted “for”, although I suspect he’s won’t be able to buck the city Machine for much longer.

Bob Dold (R) voted against - he’s suburban Chicago with Mark-Kirk-like views, who thinks his only route to reelection is to avoid rattling the libs on social issues. Yuck.

Ever since the leftist, liberal Democrat Party pushed legal abortion through the Supreme Court in 1973, I’ve wondered what the reasoning behind murdering American children could possibly be. I knew it was an attempt to capture the vote of American women, but what kind of woman were they after?

Was it the women who were planning to get an abortion if they were to accidentally become pregnant, or was there something else involved here? I’ve been observing these Democrat voting women now for over forty years, and I think I’ve finally identified who they are. They’re not the women who plan to get an abortion if the occasion arises, they’re the women who have already received an abortion.

As planned by Democrat strategists, once a woman has received an abortion, she knows in her heart that she’s committed a mortal sin and is desperate for anyone in authority to tell her she’s OK, and there’s no sin in killing her child. Once a woman has murdered her child, she is hooked forever and will continue to vote for those Democrats for as long as she lives simply because of their reassurance that she’s done nothing wrong.

As there have been an estimated thirty million abortions performed in this country since 1973, the Democrat Party can depend on at least thirty million American women’s vote in every election.

This particular vote wasn't about abortion, it was about what should happen when the procedure produces a live infant. Why isn't it murder to slaughter an infant who was born live?

It's not an "election issue". Those who against this bill are Satanic not legislators, they're a Satanic Death Cult.

You need to ask the court that question.

Did the court EVER say a child born alive didn’t have protection? I don’t think so. If there is any ambiguity, it’s about time a law has passed. Let those who voted against it defend their support of the slaughter of just-born infants.
