My response wasn’t directed strictly to you but was as much a rhetorical question addressed to the general discussion. IMO, you’re on the side of angels in this discussion. I’m amazed that some people justify assault just because it occurred in the setting of a game.
I would agree - unpremeditated, but certainly not accidental.
But it still shows what his temperament is, giving an opportunity. He could have sent that kid to the hospital. (actually I think he did)
OFF THE TEAM - SUSPEND HIM- CHARGE HIM WITH ASSAULT
And I am sorry to say we’ll probably hear more of his felonious career later in life.
Yup. Better for you to hit with childish insults than a helmet.
You’re an idiot.
An aggressive facemask is no better than the helmet hit, but those aren’t criminally investigated.
Suspend the player indefinitely, but a criminal probe is ridiculous.
>> ejection from game
Definitely.
My point is to the intentional exclusion of racial politics. I’m looking at this strictly in the context of the game.
A permanent injury is not equivalent to a nin-serious injury.
Could a head injury requiring ten stitches include a “permanent injury?”
What half-wit would call an injury requiring ten stitches “nin(sic)-serious?”
Your insistence that I’m defending the helmet bash is ridiculous.
It’s a league issue, not a criminal issue.
Re your comment - He really didnt intentionally do this. Hes very hurt. Hes crying To keep him off the team, I dont think that is the answer,.....
Where exactly did you get that from because I didn’t write that. Is it from something I posted earlier and quoted from the original article?
I say prosecute the little thug for assault.
Says who?
Where did you get this from?
A gridiron is not a zone in which the law is void.
Go catch a helmet thug-lover.
Good afternoon.
“A gridiron is not a zone in which the law is void.”
No, but the White House is.

The perps coach and his mother have an obligation to be diplomatic in assuring that discipline would be enforced on their end.
Absolutely. Disciplinary action is without question necessary. A civil lawsuit should also be put on the table.
Suppose it depends on who is getting the whack and the stitches
He had his defenders on the earlier thread.
