Are Democrats and Republicans talking about the same country?
The Washington Compost ^ | 09/18/2015 | Philip Rucker

The second debate for top Republican presidential candidates included bashing Donald Trump, a fiery Carly Fiorina and an admission from Jeb Bush that he says his mom won't like. (CNN) By Philip Rucker September 18 at 7:38 PM

To the Democratic candidates, the 2016 presidential campaign is about shrinking the gap between rich and poor; combating climate change; and expanding voting rights, gay rights and workplace equality for women.

To listen to the Republican candidates is to hear an entirely different campaign — one that centers on defeating Islamic State terrorists, deterring a nuclear Iran, restricting abortion, and debating whether to deport illegal immigrants and construct a wall to keep them out.

At a political moment of pitched voter anxiety, candidates in both parties talk in dark, sometimes apocalyptic tones — but about different issues, as if they’re addressing two different countries.

This guy is so yesterday. Who talks about R and D these days?

The operative paradigm is US vs. THEM.

A national divorce, civil war or insurrection is on the horizon.

Early on the left decided that they would support everything Obama and cook the books and lie about anything that appeared to be going bad... That is why we have a 19 trillion dollar debt much higher taxes and more people out of work than ever before in this country. So as they put their pollyanna rose colored glasses on they do see a different country and refuse to accept it is their policies that have created this mess we are in...

Republicans talk about protecting America from external threats.

Democrats talk about protecting America from Christians, people who work for a living, cops, and white men.

So, YES, they are talking about two different countries—one is real and the other is a paranoid fantasy.

Distractions, nonsense and fairy tales.

Two can play that game...

To the Democratic candidates, the 2016 presidential campaign is about shrinking the wealth of both rich and poor; pretending to control the weather; and expanding democrat voting rights, special superior rights for phags and workplace inequality for women.

And the sad part about that statement, is in their view the external threats are the paranoid fantasy and the stuff they are concerned about are all real.

We sound just as whacky to them as they do to us. I really don’t see any other viable solution than complete separation. An amicable divorce would be the best outcome.

There are indeed two Americas. One we’ll actually call ‘America,’ and the other whatever their progressive name-of-the-week is.

one is real and the other is a paranoid fantasy.

Actually, it's a plan to expunge Christians and white from the country, and it's getting all too real.

Republicans talk about issues facing the country. Democrats talk about “things we saw on ‘Ellen’ this week.”

Expunge is the wrong word. They want to keep us...as slaves, or at least as second-class citizens who work for subsistence wages with most of the fruits of our labor going into the big socialist pot that only “People of color” can draw from.
