Just 42 years ago, homosexuality was considered a diagnosable mental illness. In an ironic twist, it is now those who wantonly fear gay people that are being labeled as mentally ill.
According to findings recently published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, if you harbor homophobic views it’s likely you may also endorse some of the following dysfunctions: misogynism, psychoticism, uber-religiosity, immature coping mechanisms, [discomfort] with close relationships, and above average levels of anger, aggression, hostility, and hyper-masculinity.

In another matter, climate change "scientists" have petitioned the Obama Administration to prosecute climate change "deniers" under the RICO statutes.
The Left has abandoned their concern about civil liberties, aside from the "rights" to fornicate with whomever one wishes, or to abuse controlled substances. And people, liberals, the RINO establishment, and Beltway "conservative poseurs" alike, wonder why Trump is doing so well in the polls.
The *Fear* they refer to is from their own side. The PC side of the world.

Sexual anything should come from parents to children. In our society today we are moving away from this and it is very bad. I could care less about what adults to in private but don’t ruin it for the kids. And they have, not just gays, all the other crap. Glad I grew up when I did despite the BS about all our phobias and other problems.
Homophobia is not really a phobia or illness, it’s a manufactured phrase and condition to enforce political correctness and provide a venue of attack on those who don’t just go along and who have a fiber of moral conviction about decadence. Making it a mental illness takes it further and allows persecution including what will become the denial and confiscation of firearms because “they” are mentally ill. In the future a firearm purchaser may be required to perform a public homosexual act to prove they’re not a homophobe and are therefore sane.
It is not "fear" of the unfortunates, which makes us attack the obvious misuse of language to undermine the most basic of all social institutions, the sanctification of human mating and procreation. Anyone who feels a need to misrepresent the issue, has either a serious mental derangement, or a serious lack of moral compass.

Yeah, those who wantonly fear anything may very well have a mental problem.
Slapping “-phobic” on anyone who you have a sensible & common disagreement with is not trying to politely “celebrate difference” et al, it’s attempting to justify destroying any variants in views.
Let me suggest that if someone slaps “-phobic” as a label on a sociopolitical opponent, they’re projecting.
Occurs to me that the mindset explains the “global climate change OMGWTFBBQ” attitude: inability to deal with differences. Strange that those who “celebrate diversity” are so viciously against it.
Yes, I think there’s something special about a couple being capable of creating a new human - it’s not hateful to treat such pairings different from other pairings innately incapable of procreation (not just that it’s not going to happen because of choice or malfunction, but because it’s utterly impossible). Nothing “-phobic” about it. What _is_ “-phobic” is those who react to such a view with a desire to justify viciously (even violently) demeaning, incarcerating, and medically altering anyone who holds such a view.

Seriously. If you are disgusted by pickles, or maybe Spam meat, or even kidney pie, you are mentally ill?
Sexual appetites are like eating. Some foods you enjoy or wish you could eat, and some disgust you.
To feel sick at the thought of a sexual encounter with one of the two genders is pretty normal over all humankind.
Ask a group of gay men how they would love to jump an average woman’s bones. Watch for THEIR looks of disgust. (They all will name some amazingly gorgeous woman and say they would do her. But ask them about plain Jane next door!).
The Left is all about vindictiveness and revenge. Anything put on them MUST be put on those whom they hate.

Half the gays try to commit suicide, why should I not consider them mentally ill and want them far away from impressionable children?

They disgust me (the definition of abomination (Lev. 18:22 & 20:13), but I don’t fear them. God will mercilessly torture them for all eternity unless they repent. A “homosexual Christian” is therefore utterly oxymoronic.
But our culture has become so depraved that it calls evil good and good evil, searing away the shame they should feel for their disgusting behavior, and without shame they’ll never repent. Which means that those “Christians” who support the behavior will join them in the hell they both deserve. Unless they also repent.
God takes a dim view of being called a liar by false prophets, people who claim He said something He didn’t say, and who claim He didn’t say something He said. They come to a sad, deluded end at judgment according to Christ (Matt. 7:21-23).
I helped prosecute homosexuals for the CRIME of homosexuality just a few short years ago. They’ll never be anything but abomination to me.

Disgust towards gaysbians is a behavioral immune reaction, designed to protect us from noxious or sickness-producing things or individuals. Unlike what both articles say, it is COMPLETELY justified and VERY healthy!!!!
