Fox in the Grassroots Henhouse: The Perp Sheet

The FNC jihad against Donald Trump, grassroots America and their own viewing audience

There was a time, not so long ago, when grassroots conservatives believed, rightly or wrongly, that the Fox News Channel was an alternative to the manipulative, often shady ways of the alphabet networks. As of late however, it seems that the VIPs at the network are beginning to more resemble the pigs-turned-human at the end of Orwell's Animal Farm than the friendly alternativnes to the mainstream media clampdown. Even if you consider yourself well informed, some of the info contained in this article will likely surprise you, as the network is has fallen further and faster than you might have thought. You either have integrity or you don't. It really is that simple. Not only can Fox no longer be considered "fair and balanced," but, objectively speaking, they can no longer even be considered credible. Read on.

Rupert Murdoch - Gave between $500 thousand and $1 million to the Clinton Foundation. Though Eric Cantor's own constituents rejoiced when the establishment house majority leader lost his primary bid, Murdock admitted his "heart sank." Vanity Fair reports that Murdoch (who as of late is given to tweeting out retorts to Trump's stance on illegal immigration) "hates The Donald." “When is Donald Trump going to stop embarrassing his friends,” tweeted Murdoch recently, “let alone the whole country?”  Recently, he announced that he wants to see nanny-statist former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg to enter the race. The fish, as it goes, rots from the head down.

James Murdoch - Though he hasn't stood to be counted regarding his feelings on Trump, perspective is important. James Murdoch is a strident environmentalist and Al Gore pal to whom Roger Ailes will be reporting as his father Rupert transfers the helm. He is already responsible for Fox going “carbon neutral” and imposing his green agenda on News Corp assets. James' wife sat on the boards of The Clinton Climate Initiative and the Environmental Defense Fund. James topped even his rich dad in donating to the Clinton foundation, giving somewhere between $1 million and $5 million. “I’ve gotten to know Al [Gore] in a number of different contexts in the last number of years,” James told the Financial Times. During that same interview, Gore added, "We think the same way about the necessity of being realistic concerning the climate crisis.”

Roger Ailes - “What’s wrong with this guy?” Ailes grumbled to a Trump ally recently, according to a source. “I don’t know what to do.” “Roger says Trump is unelectable. 'His goal here is to save the country,' a source close to Ailes told me." During the Megyn Kelly dustup, Ailes wrote a strongly worded letter to Trump, after which nearly every FNC personality, as if on command, either read the letter verbatim or voiced on air or via Twitter a "leave Megyn alone" protest. The list of those who felt the need to dutifully chime in includes Sean Hannity, Bill Hemmer, Jedediah Bila, Brian Kilmeade, Bill O'Reilly, Shepard Smith, Dana Perino, Katie Pavlich, Julie Roginsi, Kirsten Powers and Bret Baier. Even the meteorologist Janice Dean had her say. Brit Hume called Trump a  "seven year old." That's nearly everyone at the network. Perhaps it would have saved space to list those at FNC who didn't join in the blanket party.
LINK 1 LINK 2

Brit Hume - Following his dozen years as managing editor, Hume now is senior political analyst at FNC. With the exception of the Murdochs and Ailes, Hume is arguably the top VIP at FNC. He considers Ted Cruz an "obvious hypocrite" for calling out Mitch McConnell's legislative treachery while refusing to bash trump. Hume predicted in July that Trumps "moment will fade," a vision that has yet to materialize. Hume wants to portray Trump as a child, on separate occasions calling him an "adolescent" and a "seven-year-old." When someone asked via Twitter "Are all the FOX puppets reporting any Trump negative they can find?," Hume snarked, "No. There’s not enough airtime in the world."
LINK 1 LINK2 LINK3

Bret Baier - Being the anchor anchor of Special Report and not a commentator, Bair had enjoyed something of a reputation as being an unbiased journalist. He was chosen as one of "Gang of Three" assigned to the Trump debate moderator/sandbag team. Incredibly, Baier  had developed a pre-written script aimed specifically at Trump should he exceed the response time limit. It read: "Mr. Trump, in your business you have rules. You follow rules. We have rules on this stage. We don't want to have to escort you to the elevator outside this boardroom." Bair also asked the “will you make a pledge” question, obviously directed at Trump who, as predicted, was the only debater on the panel to raise his hand. After the debate: "When asked whether Trump was mad, Baier smiled and his eyes widened. 'I think he was,' he said." His panel at the tail of Special Report has become nothing less than a relentless Trump bashing session.

Megyn Kelly - Ailes' "rising star," who "represents the very best in American journalism." In her spare time, the very best poses for cheesecake lingerie pics and has discussions of her breasts and the size of her husband's penis with Howard Stern. Kelly is another of the Gang of Three debate moderators. Forgoing any substantive line of questioning, she sprung for Trumps jugular, attempting to portray him as a misogynist. Some of her colleagues at Fox tried to claim she was being "fair and balanced" and simply asking the tough questions, but most watching came away with quite a different impression. The video speaks for itself.
LINK

Chris Wallace - Host of Fox News Sunday, Wallace is one of the network's many transplants from the left wing alphabets. Chris is the son of the late Mike Wallace, the notoriously left wing TV newsman. Third of the Gang of Three" moderators, who when given his shot at Trump during the debate-turned-blanket-party dwelled on Trump's bankruptcies. Chris' debate tact isn't surprising giving his on the record opinions of Trump. "All right, I'm going to take some guy who's never had any experience in this profession and we're going to make him the head of this Fortune 500 company, you'd probably lose your job for business malpractice. And yet we seem to think that somebody can become president of the United States, which is the biggest executive job in the world, and not have any experience in it."
LINK

Frank Luntz - If political polling were cuisine, Luntz had always been something of a pack of beer nuts - not very good and to be taken too seriously. Trump however, inspired Luntz to totally self-destruct and scuttle any pretense of professionalism. According to Luntz, if you support Trump, your political motivation is to sexually profane your country. "‘F- you’ doesn’t solve anything. ‘F- you’ doesn’t make life any better. ‘F- you’ makes you feel good, but it doesn’t get you where you need to go,” Luntz said. “‘F- you’ doesn’t make America strong. ‘F- you’ doesn’t solve anything.”
LINK

George Will - An atheist who is on record as supporting a "path to citizenship" (i.e. amnesty), gays in the military and recently compared jailed county clerk Kim Davis to segregationist George Wallace. Will has been writing positively on candidate Scott Walker for some time but until June, failed to disclose that his wife Mari works for the Walker campaign. In the past, Will has described Trump as a "one-man Todd Aiken,"  a "bloviating ignoramus" and stated that he wished Trump would run so that he could be "predictably shellacked." Despite his wishes coming true, Will doesn't appear to be very pleased. He complains "If Donald Trump were a Democratic mole placed in the Republican party to disrupt things, how would his behavior be different? I don’t think it would be.” In a recent column, Trump is a "malleable mess."
LINK 1 LINK 2

Charles Krauthammer - Former Walter Mondale speechwriter and columnist for The New Republic, Krauthammer is on the record as being pro-gun confiscation, pro-abortion, pro-fetal stem cell research and pro-higher energy taxes to pay for green causes. Krauthammer describes Trump as a "rodeo clown," his proposed policies "barstool eruptions." On a Trump speech: “I think his single most important statement was ‘I am very rich.’” “But you know, look, you say, can you take him seriously?" He and George Will often sit simultaneously on the Special Report discussion panel with Brent Baier, (above). Now there is a "fair and balanced" tag team.
LINK 1 LINK 2 LINK3

Shepard Smith - Masacara wearing anchor of "News Hour" who was listed by the gay magazine "Out" as one of their "Power 50." Whenever the subject of The Donald turns up on on his show, Shep's cattiness is palpable. His Trump allergy goes back to 2012 when after Trump's endorsement of Mitt Romney: “I've just gotten word that in the next hour, Shakira and Big Bird will also be issuing endorsements, and we'll be having live, Team Fox coverage of that! Shakira, Big Bird and Donald Trump.”
LINK 1 LINK 2

Dana Perino - Serving as GWB's press secretary, she likely would view being called a Bushoid as an ultimate compliment. Perino consistently becomes neurotic whenever the subject of Trump comes up. At one point, she wigged on her "The Five" co-host Eric Bolling for daring to breath a less than unkind word on Trump's behalf. Eric had the nerve to make the case that Trump is actually a serious candidate in Perino's presence. Among other shrillities, Perino accused Bolling of “covering up” for Trump. There's video evidence.

Got the bubble-headed bleach blonde, comes on at five,
she can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye
it's interesting when people die,
give us dirty laundry...

Your editorial pretty much sums up my assessment of the Fox ‘team’. My wife used to watch it all the time - every night for hours after work. After the debate, she just switched it all off.

Great breakdown. I still watch Fox. They piss me off more often than they used to though.

I've been noticing that too.

Posts like yours Sarge are why Jim Rob should add a “like button”; Don Henley makes the best observation about the media that can be made and it is even more valid today than it was 30 years ago.

Gaffer, its all one big happy Fortune 500 family with the broadcast media and has been for 40 years. Glad to hear that your wife has finally wised up. I don’t think I’ve watched a “news” broadcast out side of the Business stuff on Bloomberg TV for at least 10 years now.

Agreed. And that one with the couch and "one lucky guy" is awful too.

I will say this one thing for Beckel. He may be an “Ed Asner Clone Liberal”, but he was always a straight shooter on Muslims. I think that’s what got him canned (along with some other personal problems).

LOL. Who is worse Beckel or Juan Williams? I think that shocked look on Juan every time someone makes an obvious criticism of the left bugs me even more then Beckel.

Thanks! A “like” button is contemporary netspeak, which is nice - but taking the time to put it in words is ALWAYS better, IMO...
