I don’t think Trump will defeat Trump.
I thought so at one time but now he’s made a lot of outrageous (to some) comments and nobody seems to care.
In fact, people seem to enjoy it.
If it isn’t Ted Cruz, I’ll be perfectly happy with Trump.

Yep. Carson is all Jesus, Jesus, Jesus in Iowa. Then when he actually talks to a reporter he wants amnesty for illegals because Americans are too lazy to work, and thinks there is an "immigration department" in the U.S. government. Carson is a train wreck.
I'm pretty sure Trump has a handle on what he's doing and is more than confident of a win.

Because even if you're right and Trump goes 3rd party and Republicans lose, it's no worse than an establishment candidate.
And we all know that if they can get rid of Trump, our other conservatives, Cruz, Carson, will be gone. They can't hold up to the establishment. So I guess we know the risks but also know there is no other acceptable recourse. And at least Trump would be on our terms.

Exactly! And for all these years we’ve been pretty much powerless to DO anything about it. We could vote for the half-assed candidates the GOPe offered us, or we could stay home on election day.
Then along came Trump. And I, for one, didn’t like him much, and trusted him less than that. I ignored him until he turned in his financials, and then went to Phoenix, where he met with, and spoke for, the bereaved loved ones of people murdered by alien criminals.
I watched him like a hawk, and tested every word and voice inflection for any hint of insincerity. I couldn’t find any. By the time he went down to the Texas border, I was convinced.
So now I’m not powerless any more. There’s one guy who owes nothing to anybody, and he’s as teed off as I am. And he’s leading in the polls. I have a glimmer of hope that the Corrupt Bastards Club is going to be busted up, and we’ll begin to recognize our Country again.
