There's nothing xenophobic about believing in the sovereignty of your nation, and expecting people to go through proper and legal channels if they want to come here. I'm sure Biden and/or many of his DC buddies are members of exclusive clubs that don't allow you or me to just enter as we please. Essentially, their clubs have 'borders', and we're not allowed to cross them - and certainly we won't be given a 'path to membership' if we enter them illegally.

Truth be told, the DC liberal crowd is full of cultural xenophobes and elitists who look down their noses at anyone who thinks differently than them - especially if those people have strongly held religious beliefs or moral convictions that clash with their simplistic liberal ‘progressive’ secular humanist view of the world. When one of the liberal elite make a campaign stop at a diner to make themselves seem ‘down to Earth’ it's big news - because they wouldn't ordinarily be caught dead in one of those places.

The desire to maintain our sovereign borders, and restrict citizenship to those who truly want to be Americans and integrate into American society has absolutely nothing to do with xenophobia. It's about whether or not American citizenship means anything. If the whole world is welcome to come here and is given a ‘path to citizenship’ even if they broke our laws to enter in the first place, then citizenship and the sovereignty of America mean little.
