Why did it take so long?

The article explains that forensic evidence at the scene did not implicate the two, and furthermore indicates that DNA evidence wasn't even necessary to exculpate them in this case, since fingerprint evidence on the scene did not match them. For it to take decades after DNA technology became reliable enough to use as forensic evidence to finally clear them is inexcusable.

This is reminiscent of the Tim Masters case, where Masters spent almost 20 years in prison on the basis of... no incriminating evidence whatsoever. Except that Masters was compensated a bit more generously for the years that he will never get back.

When lawyers/prosecutors become so obsessed with winning cases that they are willing to overlook evidence, it is time to replace them.

ANY abuse by those in seats of power over Life, Liberty and Freedom should be held to the highest standards, judged against the lowest and, if found corrupt or the like, spend multiple times as much an any Citizen for their abuse of the system/People.

DNA does nothing to prove the two mens guilt, and does prove the other however to me, a confession speaks loudly.
