The popularity of the Eagles' third quarterback competition between Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow could be seen in the stands of MetLife Stadium, where Tebow's No. 15 from his one season with the Jets was spotted during the team's 24-18 win over the Eagles. It could be heard when Tebow entered the game in the second quarter to cheers of his name. Read more at

ooks like Tim Tebow might get his shot to make a spot in the NFL. He went 11/17 for 189 Yards 2 TD's and 1 Int in two quarters of play. He definitely out played Barkley so if Chip Kelly keeps 3 qb's Tebow should be in. Unless that putts Goodell intervenes.

[ Unless that putts Goodell intervenes. ]

Or the goon judge who put Kim Davis in jail intervenes.

Sounds like he has worked on some of his inadequacies as a quarterback. If so and he makes the team, good for him. Learning from the past is a good thing

Up to now he’s mostly been in Q3 and Q4 with the 2nd and 3rd string OL. Still think they out to think about trading Sanchez. Eagles look good this year.

He had some pretty good games with Denver, especially in the 4th quarter. He came alive tonight running the two minute drill at the end of the half. In his last preseason game with the Patriots he threw the game winning TD. He seems to play best under pressure.

I cannot help but wonder how far along he would be if John Elway had kept him to understudy Manning for a couple or three years.

You do know that Freepers are starting to place quotations of other people’s statements within brackets, right? Not my words, look again.

Manning has such a different physique and throwing style than Tebow.

I could see how Manning could teach Tebow some of the finer things about remaining calm in the pocket and passing/throwing mechanics, but I’m not sure what Manning could teach that would bring out Tebow’s natural gifts, such as scrambling and rushing.

Yay!
Tebow is the third QB on the third best team in the Eastern Conference!

Yay!

But even at Denver he couldn’t pass worth a darn. Tonight he seems to have done better

No problem, Nifster.

Yes, I think people have started using brackets because quotation marks are somewhat non-obvious for many here.

I may have to go back to using italics instead. I think that’s been a common practice around here for years.

He was the best QB on the field tonight. He could become the starter on that offense.

Italics works for me. I am also used to seeing remarks with a line separating commentary from quotation.

He would learn better under D Bree’s or Big Ben. Those two are natural scramblers and BB is accurate. I would say MVick... But he isn’t as accurate and TT needs to learn accuracy under pressure, We said a quick prayer for him last night. I did like him as a commentator, but I don’t think ESPN will allow a Christian to represent.

For Tebow Haters:

Kelly keeps Tebow > Bradford re-injured > Sanchez ineffective (per usual) > Tebow leads Iggles to playoffs > Iggles win SB50 (Tebow MVP)
