I had been wondering about Allegra as well and was told just a few weeks ago by Salamander that she is doing fine and hangs out now on Facebook.
I am kind of old, but my wife.... she would have to come along. She is a saint. I am devilish. ;-) glad I could bring a smile to your face.

If your view is as skewed as all of the RF Engineers I’ve known, we’d probably get along fine.
My point is that there have been some nasty people around here over the past couple of years. If you crossed a couple of them, they would follow you in the threads and attack you. Personally, I found being attacked like that enjoyable. Others with thinner skin and who give a hoot what others think of them, might have grown tired of name calling and arguing.
I always prefer discussion. I start with the proposition that the folks here are in agreement 99% of the time. So, I think a lot of these folks just got sick of the crap and signed off.

Please don’t missunderstand me GENTS; I do have a wife and 2 kids. Haven’t heard from the kids in about 3 years, raised them to be independent and self sufficient, guess I did that part right.
Wife is 10 years younger so she can’t retire yet, but I do get to see her on her vacation time.
We made the choice years ago that I would take care of the farm; so when she could finally pack it in. she could sit on the front porch and just say “ain’t that nice”.
She works down in So. Ca., about 120 miles south of where my Brother is. My brother and I are the last of our immediate family of six (parents, 1 younger sister and one younger brother already gone).

To quote him; “never give up, never surrender, when you have fought to your last breath, take another breath and fight on, fight until you have defeated those who would oppress you”. I just realized that he said that to a young wounded Marine who was a Roman Catholic, 45 years ago.
To Riley; yes, I guess I am now what the world calls an “OLD CORPS MARINE”. Not to many of us left now I guess.
Fungi; I appreciate, and can certainly use every prayer and good thought you have for old reprobates like us.
I will make sure that I include both you and Riley in both my evening and morning prayers.
Guess in that case I would just have to report in at attention.

The truth is nothing I say here is of any real significance. I don’t have any inside connections to offer anyone. It allows me to vent about politics and have a connection to others that feel similarly. So when I disappear it won’t matter much.
