Ouch. I expected a fine but agreed with a lot of others that she probably wouldn’t be jailed. I’m sorry I was wrong.

And how are you liking that 14th amendment now?

I was reading an article about why Pope John Paul stepped down to let Pope Francis take the “throne”. He said God told him to step down and let Pope Francis take over (I’m aware of some of the problems he had at the time which may have also contributed). It hit me like a ton of bricks - God is pulling the levers to make this happen. Satan’s not in control. He just thinks he is.

Yup. Tough nexus of perspectives. Problem with resigning is it abandons the stance by simply handing power to someone willing to carry out policy, rather than withstand it.

Just more proof for me that America has become a homo-fascist tyranny. An anti-Christian nation that worships depravity.

May this mirror-universe America burn in hell.

Christians need not apply for gummit jobs. You must worship at the alter of an all powerful government.

Pray America is waking

And unfortunately we see this is being applied to our Military. How long will it be that all armed forces personnel be required to denouce any "hate group" (religous) affiliations?

Me too. This is really unexpected.

If there’s one positive about this, it’s that Matt Bevins probably just won the governorship. And KY Democrats have lost their state house majority.

If the USSC is all powerful as to handwave law into existence (not just out of existence) then they can ignore that, right? Or put the pressure on the people who would impeach or dismiss her, i.e. the legislators?

Cowards they be. Craven cowards. She will sit there till doomsday knowing she has the blessings of millions.

She should mention she’s “looking forward to catching up on some reading”.

Sheriff and/or State Guard should protect their officers and citizens for illegitimate federal action.

Kentucky governor is a Democrat, so it’s up to the county sheriff to stand in the breach.

Why don’t her bosses fire her?

As I understand it, it is an elected position. Only the voters can impeach her.

The state legislature is where the response should be coming from. If necessary, remove the government from the business of sanctioning marriage altogether. Marriage being an essentially religious institution to begin with, the state ever having been involved at all is based on questionable moral grounds.

The idea that a government should have the power to say who is married and who isn’t is the fundamental problem here. Government has no business whatsoever being a third party in the relationship between man and wife.

The Roman Catholic part of Christendom might need the challenge of a Francis to get serious about Jesus again.
