One of the lawyers present during the review by State’s legal office was government attorney Catherine Duval, who was a key player in the controversy surrounding ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s missing emails related to the investigation of the agency’s targeting of conservative groups.
Duval, who is now spearheading the release of materials related to the 2012 attack in Benghazi, formerly worked for the same law firm as the Clintons’ private attorney David Kendall.
Republican lawmakers have accused Duval of withholding Clinton emails and important information.
The emails in question now marked with B5 coding are not included in the batch of messages marked classified by the inspector general of the intelligence community.

Apparently the lawyer who brought down Petraeus is involved also. I’d assume this one is trying to uncover the truth while the Lerner lawyer is trying to cover it up.

An attorney who worked for the same firm representing Hillary Clinton in the legal battle over her private emails now oversees the State Department’s handling of those same emails.
Catherine Duval, formerly of Williams & Connolly, departed the Internal Revenue Service last year for the State Department, where she assumed responsibility for the release of Clinton’s emails and for the agency’s production of documents to the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of both the select committee and the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said he sees similarities between the IRS investigation and the Benghazi investigation.
“It’s interesting that Kate Duval was at Williams & Connolly, and then went to the IRS, and when she was at the IRS, she was the chief counsel when the 422 backup tapes were destroyed,” Jordan told the Washington Examiner, referring to Duval’s involvement in an investigation into IRS targeting of conservatives.
Blatant conflict of interest. We have totally lost control of the government.
Well I’m sure Odingo could have her off this assignment pronto, yet....... I’m not so sure he wants Hillary to go down. Odingo will take Hillary if she is the only option other than a Republican.

Is Duval cleared to even be reading any potentially classified messages? That itself is a crime.
This is not much different than placing Jamie Gorelick on the 9/11 commission after she had created the “wall of separation” between intelligence agencies and the FBI and helped sow the seeds for 9/11. Same old, same old when it comes to the Clintons.
