A French court has for the first time recognised the alleged physical suffering inflicted by mobile phones and wi-fi as a medical disorder.

Marine Richard, 39, a former radio producer from Marseilles, was awarded a disability allowance of £500 per month after she convinced judges in Toulouse that she had been forced to flee civilisation because of the disagreeable sensations that she felt near electromagnetic radiation.

“This is a breakthrough,” said Ms Richard, whose case was backed by...

Mobile phones often give me a disagreeable sensation too.

Especially when someone driving an oncoming vehicle drifting into my lane is totally absorbed using one.

Or when they are constantly talking or texting on their phone at the theater during the main attraction.

I have yet to see a double-blind test performed using a large Faraday cage to confirm the purported symptoms of such extreme RF “sensitivity”. Until that’s done, put me firmly on the skeptical side.

The Copper Underwear may work for her, but my problem is related and more difficult.

I sometimes become ill after reviewing the phone bill each month!

I used to use a cheapo $10/month dumb phone; worked well!
But our daughter bought us SMARTphones.

Seldom use it, but last year the rear derailleur broke off miles from nowhere.
Yes I could have shortened the chain ($$) and made it.

The phone kept my hands clean!

So THAT is what is wrong with She Who Must Be Obeyed. And I thought it had something to do with me and Samurai films all these years.

Don't know it what she is feeling is real but for years I could walk by a house and tell if they had a TV on by the high pitched whine of the tube.

My entire family told me I was making it up. I challenged them to walk up to the houses I pointed to and ask.

I was right every time.

So I can believe it might be possible.

Not like, certainly not common but it might be possible.

I worked in a big city ER for a long time.Big city ERs see many psychiatric patients...many with *chronic* disorders (such a schizophrenia). One day a guy was brought in saying that the radio receiver implanted in his brain was receiving transmissions from the transmitter located in his rectum.

It seems that this woman has a lot in common with him.
