“Never trust her again”? When the hell was she ever trusted by anyone with a brain?

And how many elections has she won? Really she’s been done for a long time, she just refuses to admit it. Even running basically unopposed she’s struggling.

For a significant percentage of the voting public, it doesn’t matter if she’s trustworthy or not. It only matters that they think she is on their side, and is the enemy of they’re perceived enemies. The ability to lie and cheat and get away with it is a positive, and ethics are irrelevant.

Biden is smart, savvy, stacked with experience, popular on both sides of the political divide, and has outstanding personal qualities of charm, honesty, decency and bravery.

After this erudite analysis, who can ever doubt Piers again? :)

Ever take a look at the Democrats? They are living anomalies. They have life and yet no brain.

Science or religion have yet to explain them. I think Resident Evil explains it though. The movie/video game AND the concept itself.

“The ability to lie and cheat and get away with it is a positive, and ethics are irrelevant.”

You also just described the ‘lesser evil’ “no matter what’ GOP voter exactly.

Maybe she should ask Paul Wellstone and Mel Carnahan what happens to Democrats that start lagging in the polls.

The email server, the wiping, the classied emails are all small potatoes. Wait till they tie the deleted emails to bribes she took from foreign countries for the Clinton Foundation. My wish, they tie her to Lois Lerner.

If the Republicans go for someone like Trump, as seems increasingly possible, then Biden’s non-combative, more folksy style may be just what is required to provide an effective opposition voice in a general election. Trump would eat Hillary alive with so much baggage to go at. Biden would be a far less digestible foe.
Actually, I agree. I am put in mind of the Doug Forrester/Robert Torricelli Senate contest in ’02. It took Forrester - like Trump a deep-pocketed businessman - to run at Torricelli. Today, it takes Trump to run at Hillary, and “the media.”

But in ’02, the Democrats pulled an illegal switcheroo and substituted retired Sen. Metzenbaum on the ballot (after the legal deadline for such changes). Forrester woulda, coulda, shoulda won - against Torricelli. But against Metzenbaum, he lost badly.

Same case here. Against a horrendously flawed candidate like Hillary, Trump’s take-no-prisoners approach is just what the doctor ordered. Against an altogether different sort of Democrat, maybe not so much.
But whether Biden, as sitting VP, can convince the country to vote for “Four more years” - well, I’d say that remains to be seen. OTOH against a Bernie Sanders , a putatively clean ideologue, I would expect to do better with Ted Cruz than with Trump.
