Tonight, Public Policy Polling gave the Rachel Maddow Show a sneak peek at their results of their August 28-30 poll to be released tomorrow. While the findings at the top of the poll are what we've come to expect from the Republican field - Donald Trump and Ben Carson - securing the top spots - what is more surprising is to find beltway-favored candidates Chris Christie and Rand Paul floundering at the bottom with barely any support.
The poll also shows the tea party character of the Republican Party, with strong birther views and a dubious grasp of some key facts about President Obama and Senator Ted Cruz. ...

I know. In a lawful world, a world governed by the rule of law, this two-timing POS wouldn’t be allowed near a dog-catcher position, let alone president. It’s infuriating.

It really does not matter one teeny-tiny little bit who Obama’s genetic father is. That is utterly beyond irrelevant and meaningless. There is no meaningful scandal, certainly not one that should affect Obama in any way. Fact is, even if Obama’s mother was fooling around, and quietly married another man rather than have her child out of wedlock this is no scandal for the baby, and really not much of one for the family, just a bit of gossip and some shame for a very young mother, which should be long been forgotten. What only matters is who is Obama’s legal father, the one who gave the baby his name and married his mother. Barak Obama Senior and Obama’s mother have said is BO Senior is father, and legally this is so, Obama inherits his citizenship. Therefore Obama is not a natural citizen whether he was born in Hawaii, Kenya, or possibly a maternity home in Canada. And if Obama was indeed born in Canada or in Kenya, his mother was too young to confer citizenship and therefore there is a question as to whether Obama is a citizen at all. That is the real scandal. The only reason I can see to try to drag Marshall Davis into this, is to try to muddy the waters, suggesting that Obama is the son of two American citizens. Even if so, it does not matter, a citizen of Kenya, married to Obama’s mother, has acknowledged Obama as his son.
If Christie is dropping (even lower) that may be good news for Fiorina.
Cruz is not eligible. He was born in Canada.

What’s forgotten is that when Obama was a younger man, trying to get his book together, His literary agent put out an intro to the new author (obama) stating that he was born in Kenya.
I don’t believe he was born in Kenya, but I do believe he lied about his origins to make him seem a little more “exotic” and “interesting” to readers who might see themselves as “global citizens.” Obama has never made any correction of that specific record. And from that original dishonest claim, the whole “birther” controversy grew.

His mother did not meet the requirement to pass citizenship to her son. Age and residency of the mother matter.
I’m glad to see big government liberal Christ Christie failing. I just hope he stays in long enough to pull a few votes from Jeb. I’m sorry to see Rand having trouble. He’s not my first (or second or third) choice, but at least I more or less trust him to do what he promises.
That’s only true for persons born outside of the U.S.
More than a year before the Publisher’s pamphlet was written. Obama was interviewed in major newspapers when he became President of Volume of the Harvard Law Review.
Articles published in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the LA Times and the Chicago Tribune from 1990 all said that he was born in Hawaii.

The obvious question is where did the "facts" come from that this woman was checking, if not from Obama? The only person who can explain this IS OBAMA!
the third possibility is he was born in Canada. And both the Hawaii and Kenya stories were lies that he and the Dunhams switched between for their convenience.
It is obvious FMD is the father. But did the cover-up at the time extend to sending Ann all the way to Kenya to have the baby? This still seems possible. The location of the birth does matter and does effect his elgibility, even with an American father.
If known Communist pervert Frank marshall davis is Obama's real father and raised him from age 10 to 18, that certainly matters.
What only matters is who is Obama’s legal father
We haven't seen any real, genuine birth documents from 1961. We don't know for sure if Obama Sr was actually listed as the legal father then.

There is no evience of an actual marriage ceremony. Obama Sr wasn't even around for the divorce proceedings. He may not have known either the divorce or the "marriage" ever really happened.

"Legal" and "natural" aren't the same thing. If his biological father is Davis, that is his natural father. That's a fact of nature.

His own book publicist claimed he was born in Kenya, as did his “wife”. Could they both have gotten such a basic fact of his life wrong?

And don’t forget Obama’s grandmother who claimed he was born in Kenya.
That has been widely speculated based on the fact that momma Dunham and baby Barry appeared in Seattle less than three weeks after (the alleged date) Barry was born and lived there for the next two years.
A 100-mile drive from Canada seems more likely than a trip from Kenya for such a small baby. There were homes for unwed mothers right over the border.
