A reputable study would factor in the demographics, note the disproportionate number of black underclass homicides, and separate things out by demographics.
I notice they didn't mention Vermont, a state which had NO license needed to carry, plus low homicide rates.

All this misses the point - the purpose of this “study” is to provide talking points to condition the uninterested in supporting (or at least acquiescing in) more gun control.
When your first reaction is a reasoned, “Nobody would believe such crap,” you are wrong. Remember, “well, they need to do SOMETHING” has unusual power over the uninformed, misinformed, and incapable of becoming informed masses.
