“Good points. Isn’t it usually best to pick someone from a state you need help in?”

That would rule out Cruz. Trump will not need help in Texas.

Ben Carson lives in Maryland

Carly Fiorina is from California.

Walker from Wisconsin might be possible.

Here is a name to remember because the demonrats would have fits over him. Gregg Abbott the governor of Texas. HE is as smart as Cruz and is in a wheel chair so the democrats couldn’t make fun of him. The issue would be he is from Texas

instead of going in the ring and getting into a fair fight these people want to shoot arrows from outside the ring

The elites are cowards. They know we hate them with a passion bordering on uncontrollable rage. Somewhere deep inside their little pin heads, they know that Trump isn't the real enemy - we are, and that we're coming for them, one way or another.

And so they snipe and pick at the messenger from afar, through their intermediaries in the government-run press. It's all they can do. The 'good times' are over for them, and are about to return for America.

“There are a lot of donors out there who see it as much too dangerous, obviously, for the candidates, or their allied super PACs, to go after Trump,”

Yep, it’s hilarious to see that the lily-livered GOPe is too frightened to try and “bring down” Trump. The GOPe constantly lives in fear, fear that one or more of their club members could lose their cushy seats at the pig trough due to “low information voters”. It’s really what the GOPe is all about.

Not standing up for Terry Shiavo tells you everything you need to know about his lack of character and lack of right stuff.

If the GOP is as competent with their takedown of Trump as they are with everything else, Trump will get a big bump in the polls.

The GOPe are their most brutal and vicious when it comes to battling the conservative base of the Party.

Do you think people would care enough about the VP to change their minds?

Sarah Palin got me to vote for McCain in 2008. If not for her, I don't know...

you usually pick a VP i a state you need to win, no?

Traditionally, that's been the case, but who knows what the new rules are under Trump? It may be more of an ideological pick that cements the deal with voters this time around. People are gravitating hard toward the non-politician outsiders in this race.

Have you ever gotten an auto reply from Cruz? I have. I’m square in the middle of his district also. EFF Ted.

You are right, it is the only time they fight. They always put on their knee pads for the democrats.

Gingrich would be my choice in a perfect world

A good debater

Smart guy

He isn’t perfect but he’d do.

The problem is that so many liberals just hate him and would vote against him.

There will be plenty of rabid anti-Trump Freepers who will be ecstatic about this.

The article says Romney is “surprised” Jeb hasn’t caught traction by now. And they make it sound like he is ready to jump in if Trump hasn’t been taken down by January or February.

Ted's district is the whole state of Texas. I'm in Texas too, but I've never sent Ted an email or a letter to his Senate address, so I can't vouch for the auto-reply.

Ted has disappointed me with some of his votes lately, but that said, the man is in the high 90 percentile range as a conservative, and still has my support. At this point, though, I'm supporting him for Trump's eventual VP - not for president.

Remove Trump from the equation and Ted can't win this by himself. He needs to become more well established in office, and demonstrate real leadership over time, before he'll be able to win a presidential election alone.

If he goes third party, Ross Perot will have to make a cameo to predict the resultant rushing sound.

Within 72 hours after I hear of it, I’ll change parties.

The GOPe is freakin clueless.

I’d love to see them lose 80% of their registered voters in the first week.

It won’t be that bad, but it will be damned bad.
