The solution is rather simple. The US should seize both sides of the Rio Grande and as much land to the south as is necessary to get to suitable land for building the wall. We could claim that land as reparations for all of the law enforcement and handouts the US has spent because of the invasion from Mexico.
Once the big, beautiful, massive impenetrable wall is completed, wonderful resorts could be built where people could spend vacation experiencing the magnificence of the Great Wall of Trump and the reclaimed land and river to its north.
