I Like Donald Trump. I REALLY do. But...
Vanity ^ | 8/29/2015 | Self

Though this is a vanity, I have linked to the foundational source of my point.

I REALLY like what the Trump is saying. I like his attitude, I lake his effectively destroying PC and his takedown of the MSM. I like seeing all the liberal and GOPe heads exploding. I especially like him running a screen for Cruz.

But I would be very concerned about a Trump presidency. If you look at his stances in the past and some that are current and couple that with is personality, attitude and MO, and imagine him as the "strong man" in the article in the link, you will see where I am coming from.

I absolutely remember what Perot did to us. And it bothers me that Trump refuses to rule out running as a 3rd party candidate. In fact, it appears as though he set himself up right off the bat for that possibility, probably knowing that the establishment GOP would not “treat him fairly”.

One of my problems with Trump is his massive ego and his petulant temper. Case in point: his juvenile twitter war against Kelly. We’ve already had almost seven years of “”leadership”” by someone with a massive ego, a juvenile and petty persona, and a short fuse/hot temper...and those are not qualities that I want in the next president.

Regarding the “denying Christ”, there are a lot of quotes from him on the subject, but the money quote is when he said that he does not think he needs Christ’s forgiveness. He doesn’t imply it. He says it. That is textbook denial of Christ.

Wow. I missed that, but another major issue, considering the latest and current Planned Parenthood scandal, is.... would Trump support continuing PP funding for these heinous and horrific practices? Again, if he could support Hillary....he could support all of the issues that Hillary supports. Right? That's what scares me. Is he being honest about his real stance and agenda?

Well said. Ted Cruz is the best option.

If Trump wins the Republican nomination and runs as a Republican I will vote for him.

he US is not the Weimar Republic. The population is not homogenous to the extent of post war Germany (1919-1933).
Yeah. Tell that to a Jew with the arm tatoo.
........................................................

Obviously you are not aware of the masses of Germans who were executed, died in concentrations camps or who were worked or starved to death because they RESISTED the Hitler movement. They are just as dead as the Jews. America’s espionage penetration into Germany through the German Resistance in the latter part of the war is a fascinating history. Sadly, too few know the story.

I love Ted Cruz. I also like Walker. But yeah....I probably would vote for Trump too IF he wins the nomination and there is no other choice. But I doubt that he will, despite all of the poll results.

The establishment GOP is pushing Bush like they pushed McCain and Romney. Here is my perspective - the establishment GOP is ‘in on it’ re: ensuring that a Democrat wins from now on. They and the Democrats that cross over and vote for Bush in the GOP primaries intend to ram yet another RINO down our throats.

Well said again! He did refuse to rule out a 3 rd party run.

The fight with Kelly should have been totally against a presidential candidate mindset. Embarrassing behavior for someone in his position, he could have smiled and turned away.

What was he thinking???

Might be “textbook” in your mind, but not in mine. I have known more than one person who did not wear his belief on his sleeve, but in practice was an outstanding “Christian” in every way. I have also known “Christians” who lie, cheat, and are so selfish they think only of themselves. Don’t you find it strange that of the thousands of people who have worked with and for Trump, you don’t see them in the headlines decrying his inhumanity to man?

By the way, Peter “denied Christ” three times before the cock crowed. And yet Christ made him the foundation of the Church. .....and then there was Doubting Thomas........

I hope I’m wrong too. About that and about Trump. We desperately need a real patriot and a pro-constitution statesman to lead us out of this disastrous path we’ve been dragged down.

As said.....you are clearly on fire for Trump, which is fine, I am not.. and this with plenty of good reason for concerns regarding his ‘claims’.

I do not, unlike yourself, do comparisons between Trump and Obama and his administration. Nor do any need schooling about them...... How senseless to make such comparisons with Obama. None of which have anything to do with this race for a nominee. At least make comparisons among the actual candidates who are running.

Well I don’t think Trump is the best candidate....though like many I do appreciate and find entertaining his poking at the media and the establishment.... However, he’s ‘still’ running his campaign like an unscripted reality show, live and in full view of the audience who faithfully tunes in to the next segment of who gets poked next.... makes for good ratings for the media who are fully on board.

It is interesting that when he was finally pushed for a plan on immigration that he went to Washington to seek out “a Politician” to assist him to do that. Trump cannot walk this walk apart from those in Washington to aide him in navigating the halls of Washington and legalities of...and “time” to learn how Government really works inside those walls. He’s totally green in that respect.

Which I do not think this nation has time to “school Trump” so my choice is Cruz who is already set with a team and ‘ready’ to take this nation back! No learning curve to bog the works up...

The risk you’re talking about is always going to be with us. Look at Obama. We already were tricked and burned. Our people en masse are naturally gullible. When a white-talking mocha colored commie worshiper with personal peccadilloes (gay) wandered into Bill Ayers’ lair, he must have thought he’d won the lottery. No need to keep exploding his girlfriends trying to blow up our Federal buildings! Hell, with this guy, we’ll walk in the front door of the White House!

And they [expletive deleted] did.

You know Trump isn’t anywhere near as dangerous as Obama was and is. The latter had evil intentions toward America since he took his first suck of milk. He was emotionally empty/needy and had secrets, and he already had fallen for commie ideology! Plus he was the “Magic Negro,” the black president everyone was waiting for, without being African-AMERICAN at all. But he looked the part.

Could we be tricked again? Sure. If Hilllary were a little less criminal, just maybe without the one email scandal, we’d fall for it again with the joyful rush to have a First Historic President With A Vagina. Yes. En masse, with this media controlling us by mocking any original thinking, any objective morality, we would be sucked back down into having our country taken away even more.

Trump is who he is. He is very straightforward. He’s been waiting a few decades to see if this country would turn around and head back in the right direction. (See his books and interviews over the past 20 years.). Now he’s trying to do it himself. The media-believers on the left and right hate him. He’s actually got the thinking people behind him. Those thinkers that aren’t clinging to the controlling oligarchy for their money, that is. I’ll take the risk that is Every Candidate and go with Trump. In fact, since Cruz won’t get nominated without trump, he is our only hope.

We should take this to the parking lot. A couple of old dudes fighting it out would be very entertaining. ;-)

The subject has been one of my “hobbies” since I was in high school (early 70’s). I’m quite aware that it wasn’t just Jews. But it was MAINLY the Jews who were executed for being who they were, not for their actions.

The autobahn was a “shovel ready job” that Hitler manned by forcing the city dwelling engineers and other professionals into the countryside to rebuild Germany via “pseudo” slave labor using real shovels.

I’m not talking about actions. I’m talking about words. I know a lot of non-Chrisitans who are outstanding “Christians” in every way except the one that really counts.

The definition of a Christian is someone who acknowledges that he is a sinner and knows the only road to eternal life with his creator is to repent and accept the blood of Christ as atonement for your sin. A person that says what Trump said about this specific issue is the exact opposite. By his own words he has said he is not a Christian. He may be a great guy. He may be a very good person - compared to most people. But compared to the word of God and God’s plan for mankind, he has denied Christ.

I’m not judging the man. Heck, he may be a better person than me. I’m simply saying that his own words make him a person that has not accepted Jesus as his personal savior. He has not yet figured out that he even needs a savior. He may, some day. I hope he does.

I agree. It is a point I was trying to make earlier. It’s just that Trump has a popularity card he can play that most do not have. And we live in very perilous times that cause the peasants to grant more autonomy to a “strong man” than they would normally grant.

Heck, I’ve seen plenty of it in this thread. That is very dangerous. We do indeed live in dangerous times. People are not thinking all of this through. I just don’t want to be one of them and am offering a friendly reminder to others to do the same.

I consider Trump to be much more powerful, personally, than Obama. And if he wins the presidency, he will be much more powerful than Obama. I, no, WE must be doubly sure that power is exercised in the correct direction.

Perot didn’t pierce the B.S. barrier a quarter as well as Trump has.

Still, I’m ready to nix Trump if he freezes in some seriously lefty positions. I don’t see a frozen Trump at this point, however.

It’s up to the GOP, as I see it, to decide whether to put Trump in a Perot position.

The danger is great no matter who makes it.

Trump’s shadow towers over Cruz’s and that’s just the way it is. It has to do with their respective temperaments. Cruz could be Robin to Trump’s Batman, very easily. But I don’t think he could be Superman to that.
