Top Jeb fundraisers leave campaign amid troubling signs

Three top Jeb Bush fundraisers abruptly parted ways with his presidential campaign on Friday, amid internal personality conflicts and questions about the strength of his candidacy, POLITICO has learned.

There are different versions of what transpired. The Florida-based fundraising consultants — Kris Money, Trey McCarley, and Debbie Alexander — have said that they voluntarily quit the campaign and were still working with Bush's super PAC, Right to Rise Super PAC. Others said the three, who worked under the same contract, were let go because they were no longer needed for the current phase of the campaign.

None of the three immediately responded to requests for comment. Bush spokesman Tim Miller would only say that “Governor Bush has the widest and deepest fundraising operation of any candidate in the field. Ann Herberger — a longtime aide with more than two decades of experience in state and national politics — will continue to lead the operation in Florida with our team in Miami.”

One source attributed the departures to personality conflicts in the campaign, some involving Bush's finance team.

Turn out the lights the party's over for the lying amnesty loving actor Jeb Bush.

Mayhap we can add JEB to the list of losers without a prayer: Graham, Jindal, Perry, Paul, Santorum, Huckabee, Mitchell, Dummett, Ehrlich, Sherman, Hill, Russell, Pataki, Newland, Christensen, Christie, Martin, Bailey, Cavanaugh, Andrews, Petyo, Oliverez, Cullison, Hayden, Bowers, Sent, Fellure, Bickelmeyer, Sterling, Gilmore, and Everson. Most of them are running to get the donations from their rich donors like $10 million dollars for a single donation.

You will be able to tell who Jeb's replacement will be by the MSM coverage. Rubio is a good possibility. Of course, Trump has already targeted Rubio in his immigration position paper.

Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs. We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program. More than half of H-1B visas are issued for the program's lowest allowable wage level, and more than eighty percent for its bottom two. Raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant workers in the U.S., instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas. This will improve the number of black, Hispanic and female workers in Silicon Valley who have been passed over in favor of the H-1B program. Mark Zuckerberg’s personal Senator, Marco Rubio, has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities.

Look for Kasich to emerge along with Walker if and when Bush goes below the waves.

Even if Jeb emerges the nominee (and it’s still likely)

Likely: having a high probability of occurring or being true : very probable

Really?

This signifies growing donor resistance to giving to Jeb, a pruning back of expenses, pressure from Jeb, and stress on the bonds of loyalty between Jeb’s campaign and its operatives. As governor and in his campaigns, Jeb was notoriously impatient and hard to work for, especially when bad news bubbled up. There will be more of this sort of thing, and perhaps a spectacular meltdown before the proverbial fat lady starts belting out her final tune.

"I should've listed to my Mom..."

I know Jebbie Bush had a lot of money to start the campaign with. The GOPe had anointed him as "The One" and he was going to cruise along to the GOP nomination, using the Mitt Romney strategy: Hover in the background as the adult in the room while the other Republican candidates take themselves out in a circular firing squad. Then put on a smile and emerge from the ashes to claim the nomination as last man standing.

But something funny happened on the way to the coronation. Donald Trump entered the race and sucked all the oxygen out of the room. Not only that, but Trump is killing Jebbie. I mean utterly killing him. He's been outed as the "low energy" empty suit that he is and his own mother is on record as not wanting him to run because in her own words: "The country has had enough Bushes".

Now Jebbie's fundraising efforts have obviously cratered because nobody wants to throw good money after bad. I haven't seen anything regarding recent donations to the Bush campaign but they must be devastating.

Trump and Cruz should announce that they are running as a team, and form a shadow government (like they do in the UK).

It will drive to left nuts!

And might give the jokers in Congress some backbone to stand up to Obama.

Good.

The sooner he abandons his farcical pretense of a campaign, the better our party will be.

The sooner he and his family retire from public life altogether, the better our country will be.

When Boosh drops out the GOPe will just insert Walker in his place. They have been grooming him for that.

No problem. We’ve already almost driven him from the race.

Loved what he did in Wisconsin. He should stay there.

"The beginning of the end."

No, that was the day he took a ride with an Uber driver in San-Fran-Sicko and he had a deere in the headlights look and it was his Michael Dukakis Tank moment. I said it then he was done stick a fork in him, but these things take a while...

You are correct. The Mitt Romney party rules changes in 2012 made it a very uneven playing field.

Bush could lose the nomination and still be the nominee.

” They can’t afford all the people they hired any more with the fundraising collapse.”

Maybe they could hire a bunch of illegals to replace them. You know,”doing jobs Americans won’t do” and all that.

Those rocket scientists used super computers to arrive at the best possible candidate named “Bush!”

This rocket scientist knew this long before he even announced.
