The Words Used by WDBJ Reporter Alison Parker That Killer Claimed Were ‘Racist’
Blaze ^ | Aug 28, 2015 | Dave Urbanski

When Alison Parker was an intern at WDBJ in 2012, Vester Lee Flanagan — then a reporter for the station — heard her utter what he apparently considered to be racist words.

Parker made reference to “swinging” by a destination and also referred to heading out into the “field,” according to Flanagan’s 2013 complaint with the station, the New York Post reported.

Parker wasn’t disciplined over her word choices, the Post reported, and Flanagan was fired a month after leveling his racism accusations against Parker, which were part of his failed discrimination lawsuit against the station.

Two years later, Flanagan fatally shot Parker, 24, and TV cameraman Adam Ward, 27, during a live news broadcast Wednesday morning. On the run, using a Twitter account under his on-air name Bryce Williams, Flanagan cited Parker’s “racist comments” in a stream of tweets. Police said Flanagan died later that day of a self-inflicted gunshot.

“That’s how that guy’s mind worked,” Ryan Fuqua, a WDBJ video editor, told the New York Post of Flanagan’s racism claims. “Just crazy, left-field assumptions like that.”

“[Those words are] just common, everyday talk. [But] that was his MO — to start s**t,” Fuqua added. “He was unstable. One time, after one of our live shots failed, he threw all his stuff down and ran into the woods for like 20 minutes.”

WDBJ cameraman Trevor Fair recalled others using the term “field” around Flanagan: “We would say stuff like, ‘The reporter’s out in the field.’ And he would look at us and say, ‘What are you saying, ‘cotton fields’? That’s racist,’” he told the Post.

“We’d be like, ‘What?’” he added. “We all know what that means, but he took it as cotton fields, and therefore we’re all racists.”

“This guy was a nightmare,” Fair told the Post. “Management’s worst nightmare.”

Then there was the time a station manager brought in watermelon for all employees. “Of course, he thought that was racist. He was like, ‘You’re doing that because of me.’ No, the general manager brought in watermelon for the entire news team. He’s like, ‘Nope, this is out for me. You guys are calling me out because I’m black.’”

7-Eleven’s sale of watermelon-flavored Slurpees didn’t escape Flanagan’s observations, either.

“It’s not a coincidence, they’re racist,” Fair recalled Flanagan saying.

One of Parker’s former classmates, who is black, said the slain reporter was anything but racist.

“When I took [my journalism] job, she recommended me,” Jessica Albert, who attended James Madison University with Parker, told the Associated Press. “She di

Left field indeed.

Thanks Barack Obama, thanks MSM & academia, thanks democrat party. And finally, thank GOP cowards, for enabling the aformentioned parties by never sticking up for yourselves.

This is quite a world you've created.

Vester Flanagan II was the logical end-state of the Black Lives Matter movement. BLM has now been co-opted by the black LGBT movement. This is where BLM ends—with the logarithmic victimhood scale going off-scale high to the point of total nutjob violence.

Can somebody explain to me the differences between Vester Flanagan II grievances and Ta-Nehisi Coates grievances? Both see offenses everywhere. Both are angry at every white person. Both cheer and advocate violence against white people.

The worst thing is that this guy isn’t off the PC reservation. Everyday I read about outrage over some minor thing being said or tweeted. Micro aggression and such.

Not crazy, just a few years ahead of his time. I'm not being flippant or trying to be funny either. There's a whole new Victim's Lobby out there in academia, the MSM, politics, community activism and liberal churches that sees this kind of thing, saying 'field' in front of a black man as a micro-aggression and an instance of white privelege. Kids are being taught this garbage from grade school on now...white kids are taught that they're rotten little racists who are ruining the world, and everyone eles is taught to be helpless victims who are entitled to the wealth of the racists.

This tragedy in Moneta VA was not caused by the victims, or the killers parents, or the gun, the gun seller or manufacturer. It was caused by the evil twisted little man who pulled the trigger. Maybe some of the folks who are teaching others to think exactly as this man did will see what they're doing and stop. I don't expect them to but one can hope.

This cowardly, murdering, scumbag was a complete an utter JERK. He was the “perpetual victim” of a non-existent racism. He was a failed reporter and a failed heterosexual.
I notice that in all the stories about this creep NOT ONE person has claimed he was a friend or a nice guy. He hoped for “peace”. He will never know a moments peace for all eternity.

You people just don't get it. These words are 'micro-aggressions'. They must be banned. They will be when the next NewSpeak dictionary is issued. They won't exist. Gone, like a wisp of gas.

You thought that accusing the Democrats of using '1984' as a manual was sarcasm. They are serious. This emotional cripple, and I have yet to meet a homosexual who wasn't badly damaged, just put a face on the constant, unjustified professional victimhood of the left.

You SAY you didn't know that "going out in the field" is a reference to slavery, but if you had closely read the Old White Guys Manual, you would have learned it, along with the secret handshake and the Private Rite of Membership...

Oops, I've said too much!

The left has been creating unhinged lunatics for quite sometime now.

I think we are sitting on a lit powder keg at this point.

If you eat watermelon: You're racist.
Watermelon plants are racist.
Speak the word field: You're racist.
Say the word cotton: You're racist.
Wear something made of cotton: You're racist.
Cotton plants are racist.
You're a white person: you're racist.
Anything to do with white people is racist.
So says crazy, now dead, negro murderer.

To him, “swinging by” some destination was a reference to APES swinging from tree branches and vines! LOL! What a LOON.

Conservatives need to play their own rules against them:
• diversity is a trigger word and shouldn’t be used around us
• accusations of racial insensitivity should be countered with accusations of racial profiling
• be sure to point out our social causes such as saving unborn babies and saving our political process from the corruption of voter fraud

Anyone who disagrees is anti-progress

Oh I forgot about the “common sense” liberal bias regulations. Because calling something common sense means you can’t say no... Right?

A sane person is simply wasting their time trying to understand the “why” behind any crazy person that does something crazy.

Crazy people do crazy things because they are crazy.
That’s all you need to know or remember.

When our entire culture, from the President down through the MSM, the Entertainment industry and Academia push PC and reinforce the Perpetually Aggrieved, then the Crazies feel that they have approval to act on all their weird fantasies. If Society returned to calling crazy & insane (and Evil) as such, then the number of crazies who act out their insanities would drop appreciably.

Case in point? "Radical Islam" is not condemned by "Peaceful Islam" and we end up with suicide (homicide) bombers & ISIS. Homosexuality is treated as normal and we get Bruce Jenner, San Francisco and "Pride" Parades.

"All Cultures are Equally Valuable" leads to Ebonics, pants down around your knees and Black kids trying to get an education being harasses for "Acting White".

Words must have agreed-upon meanings. Society must have a common foundation and standard of moral & civilized behavior. Without these, insanity, anarchy and collapse follow.
