A report commissioned by Planned Parenthood has found that the sting videos targeting its tissue donation practices contain intentionally deceptive edits and inaccurately transcribed conversations and are missing footage. But there is no evidence that the anti-abortion group behind the attack made up dialogue.
The report by research firm Fusion GPS attempts to undermine the videos’ political, legal and journalistic value. The Center for Medical Progress claims that the eight tapes it has released show evidence that Planned Parenthood is making money by trafficking fetal tissue and organs.
The women’s health organization strongly denies those accusations and has repeatedly said the tapes are highly edited and misleading. The forensic report, which relied on video and transcription experts who were hired by Fusion GPS and not associated with Planned Parenthood, is the first comprehensive account of the videos’ discrepancies. It was sent to congressional leadership on Thursday to counter Hill investigations of Planned Parenthood’s work.
Planned Parenthood also told lawmakers that only two of the 59 Planned Parenthood affiliates are currently involved in fetal tissue research — and that there is no evidence any affiliate has broken federal or state laws.
“The attacks on us have the intended purpose of making it appear that fetal tissue research is an enormous focus of Planned Parenthood,” Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, wrote in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Leader Harry Reid. “But the simple fact is that 99 percent of our health centers have no involvement in this work.”

The video makers are releasing full, unedited footage for each instance as well, making short work of these paid-for “findings”.
My daughter aged 14 asked me if they are killing babies then why are they called Planned Parenthood. Surely the name means that a woman is planning to be a parent and not kill a baby.

Sounds like they’re saying that “editing” footage is “manipulating” it. Every news program on the air “edits” footage. The news is made up of sound bites.

So how much taxpayer money did they spend on this?
You notice PP will not do a simple solution, that it will not come out and say “OK, PP and all its affiliates will not perform abortions, we will stay in business doing everything else but abortions.” Wonder why (SARC)???

It’s all that matters to those of us concerned with facts and content.
Planned Parenthood got what it paid for. From now on they will simply say that “a study found the sting videos were manipulated”, the MSM and political establishment will repeat that line like dutiful parrots and the vast majority of clueless American voters won’t give the matter any further consideration.

I'm sure the missing footage will fully exonerate PP and not make them out to be the ghouls they are. That just changes everything that I ever thought of PP. Not.

After not covering the story for the past month, the mainstream media outlets will now take this ‘report’ and run with it, for they now have the cover they were looking for to dismiss it as a ‘non-story’.
There is no actual journalism anymore.... and they are now (have been) at the point of willingly giving aid and comfort to baby murderers.
