When insurers requested huge rate hikes for their 2016 ObamaCare plans, we were told not to worry because state regulators would force them down. But that's not happening. Death spiral, anyone?

This takes Obamacare down giving it away for free to losers is now destroying itself, because I think the law might be that if Obamacare is more tha 8% of your income you are NOT REQUIRED TO GET IT.
That right there is a crash and burn.
That deceitful Healthcare Act is going to be the death of the economy.
If California raises costs 10% or more our family would be well above the 8% of cost threshold. We would legally not have to keep ensured and we make enough to get zero of the subsides.
I wonder what options for insurance we can get.

We’ve not had hc insurance since January of 2014. Saved a ton and get HUGE discounts on what little health care we need.
I noticed that now that they are the majority they don’t vote on it any more. Obama hasn’t had to veto anything.

And there is concierge medicine which is a monthly payment to a particular doctor and then much reduced payments for services.
They just didn’t bother to mention that “Affordable Health Care” would not be cheap.

Obamacare will not go down that easily.
As for its costs to government - we have a Federal Reserve which can monetize all the government debt it needs, print money, and manipulate interest rates. There’s always more money for progressive government schemes.
As to individuals, the middle class will continue to get hammered.
Besides, when enough people complain and want to abandon Obamacare, the next obvious step will be total nationalization / single-payer.
It’s free to most of the losers who signed up who don’t work.
Seems to me CA wants me to pay more than the $9500 a year the three of us pay now. Can you imagine a 30% or more increase on nearly $10,000?
Mind you this is money after taxes the 10k comes from.
I only get a Bronx plan for that, but the loser non working neighbor gets a much better silver plan for free.
I actually worked hard to get my TAXABLE income low enough. And because we’re so old, insurance is really expensive. :-)
The rulers,
INCLUDING EXEMPT Boehner and this EXEMPT Staff
have made a lot of money (continuing) from ObamaCARE.
And THEY are EXEMPT, of course.

I think not.
Those actually paying are let loose from obligations to participate when it goes over 8% which for many it will the next raise in cost.
Money from Feds won’t stop ant of that.

My daughters are both signed up for the Christian health care plans.
