The Mexican government is warning that Texas’ denial of birth certificates for U.S. children born here to undocumented immigrants stands to imperil the relationship between Mexico and the Lone Star State.

The concern was raised in an amicus brief filed Monday evening to lend support to immigrants parents who sued Texas after being denied birth certificates for their U.S.-born children, even after showing their “matrículas,” the ID cards issued by the Mexican consulate to undocumented immigrants.

Illegal aliens and their foreign government dictating how we have to treat them. How we have to give them citizenship. And our treasonous government encourages it. Never thought I would have seen the day.

yeah, but to extort somebody you have to have leverage.

Not sure what Mexico’s is.

except a veiled threat at flooding the border with even more undesirables

Best to not pursue this until Trump and a bunch of conservative legislators take office in 2017.

They stood on the sidelines during WWII hoping things went badly for the allies, and us, having negotiated with Germany over our southwestern territory.
I’ve been saying we should war with Mexico for years. They owe us about 30 years of serious reparations, and assigning Pemex profits is a good start.

Are you, perhaps, confusing WW II with WW I and the infamous Zimmerman Telegram?

The German Foreign minister did indeed offer Mexico a free hand in what is now the SW United States if they would enter WW I on Germany's side.

Mexico, however, refused and the contents of the telegram -- which had been intercepted and decoded by British Intelligence -- were passed to the USA. The Zimmerman Telegram subsequently became a part of America's casus belli for entering WW I.

I'm not aware of Mexico negotiating nor Germany proposing a similar arrangement during WW II.

Maybe Texas can do like Hawaii...instead of a birth certificate they can give out a certificate of birth.

Birth is recognized w/o citizenship being attached.

"To hear this threatening message: Press one for English......"

You've gotta love it, Mexico is threatening the U. S. with withholding its pregnant illegal women and girls performing maid services and house cleaners, right?

Not like we haven't done it before.

That was back before a time when American leaders didn't called Americans who were fighting for independence and sovereignty, "vigilantes".

“DENY birth certificates or charge the Mexican government $1M each for the paperwork.”

I assume you mean $1MM? Million, not Thousand.

But even that is not enough...
