Father Of Slain Reporter Pledges That Gun Control Will Be ‘Alison’s Legaicy'
The Politistick ^ | 8/27/15 | GREG CAMPBELL

Posted on 08/27/2015 2:40:13 PM PDT by Impala64ssa

America is still reeling from the on-air execution of Alison Parker and Adam Ward. While doing their jobs, both were slain by a devout racist and former colleague of their. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at PolitiStick go out to the families of these victims. It’s a senseless crime and it’s natural to try and make sense of such heinousness. The shooter, a homosexual black man, authored a 23-page manifesto clearly explaining his racial motivations for killing the two straight white people. And though America became engulfed in a rage of race-obsessed hysteria after the Dylann roof shooting, few media outlets have shined a light on the recent killings with the inverse motivations: where a black man killed white people out of racial hatred. Though this is galling, what is, perhaps, most disturbing is the already-begun crusade by Parker’s father to voice his support for gun control. With his daughter not even yet buried, Andy Parker appeared on Fox News with Parker’s fiancé, Chris Hurst, to parrot the left’s talking points surrounding our Second Amendment rights. “I’m not going to let this issue drop,” Parker said. “We’ve got to do something about crazy people getting guns.” “The problem that you guys have – and I know it’s the news business, and this is a big story – but next week, it isn’t going to be a story anymore and everybody’s going to forget it. But you mark my words, my mission in life – and I talked to the governor today. He called me, and I told him, ‘I’m going to do something, whatever it takes, to get gun legislation, to shame people, to shame legislators into doing something about closing loopholes in background checks and making sure crazy people don’t guns.’ And he said, ‘You go. I’m right there with you.’” Parker added, “This is not the last you’ve heard of me. This is Alison’s legacy that I want to make happen.” Of course, Mr. Parker has suffered an unimaginable tragedy and all should feel sorrow for the man who just lost his daughter. Still, however, deep and cutting his grief, it does not oblige me or any other American to offer our God-given, constitutionally-protected rights as a means of assuaging his bereavement. Parker, like so many members of murder victims, has succumbed to the left’s preposterous narrative that asserts that more laws will keep guns out of the hands of psychos. There are also laws on the books against murder. How has that worked out? The simple fact is that no law will change the malice some feel and that, not the gun, is the true root of murder. Both Hillary Clinton and the Obama Administration have sounded-off on the tragedy to capitalize on the murders to further their anti-Second Amendment agendas. “We have got to do something about gun violence in America – and I will take it on,” Hillary said. “I believe we are smart enough, we are compassionate enough to figure out how to balance the legitimate Second Amendment rights with preventive measures and control measures so that whatever motivated this murderer, who eventually took his own life – we will not see more deaths, needless, senseless deaths.” White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest echoed the sentiments, saying, “As you’ve heard me say in the past, this is another example of gun violence that is becoming all too common in communities large and small all across the United States. And while there is no piece of legislation that will end all violence in this country, there are some common sense things that only Congress can do that we know would have a tangible impact in reducing gun violence in this country. The president has long advocated Congress taking those steps, and the president continues to believe that they should do so.” As Rahm Emanuel advised, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste.” Instead of aimlessly following the playbook of Gabby Giffords or being used as a pawn by vultures like Michael Bloomberg or Barack Obama, Parker would do well to follow the lead of others who have suffered similar tragedies like Mark Mattioli, whose 6-year-old son James was murdered at Sandy Hook. Mattioli has pushed-back against assertions that the U.S. needs more gun laws and testified before a legislative task force assigned to review Connecticut’s gun laws, “I don’t care if you named it ‘James’ law,’ I don’t want [another law].” In 1999, Darrell Scott, the father of a victim at the Columbine High School shooting, testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime. He stated: “In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. “I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRAA – because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder, I would be their strongest opponent. “When something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs – politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive law that continue to erode away our personal and private liberties.” “We do not need more restrictive law. [The shooters] would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers.” Mr. Parker’s grief is enormous, but we must fight him and others who dare to push for legislation beyond what the Constitution allows.

This is reminiscent of the LIRR shooting. Cong Carolyn McCarthy, whose husband was one of the victims immediately went on a gun control tirade, which became her platform running for Congress before her hubby's body assumed room temperature. Even when investigators found Colin Ferguson's apartment cluttered with notebooks containing anti-White screeds and used a "Black rage" defense during his trial, she flatly denied there was racial motivation on Ferguson's part, it was strictly the fault of the gun. This was more pathetic than the time Mary Jo Buttafuco denied Joey was cheating on her. At least Mary Jo eventually wised up and diverced the SOB.

I could’ve sworn I saw a human hand attached to the back of that gun.

Crazy Black Gay guy control would be more targeted, and Constitutionally permitted.

My condolences on your loss but if you a truly stupid enough to try and screw with my rights all bets are off and I withdraw any sympathy I may have had.

Shut up and mourn your child.

And what gun control law exactly would have stopped him? Are they proposing to ban sales to black homosexuals?

I’m sorry for the father and fiancé of the murdered reporter, but a law keeping me from getting a firearm won’t make anyone any safer except a criminal or an oppressor from the regime (but, I repeat myself). Prayers for their comforting and enlightenment.

The black homosexual mental case could have just as easily used a machete or a few gallons of gasoline and a lighter.

Liberal logic:

White person kills black person = blame racism
Black person kills white person = blame the gun

do these people think that crazed gay lunatics like this creep won't just use a common knife?...a sword?...acid to the face?....

if they want to do it, they'll do it....

guns are the equalizer, and if enough law abiding people have them, crime will decrease....

Are they proposing to ban sales to black homosexuals?

Homosexuals are mentally ill, so a case could be made. But I don't recall the second amendment excluding crazies from "shall not be infringed".

If you can't be trusted to be armed, you should not be running around loose.

I saw the grieving Father on FNC this morning. He said he was not for banning guns but for better background checks that could have prevented his Daughter’s murder. And he said that would be his mission.

You can bet his background mission will soon turn into a Gun Control mission in the near future.

Leftwing political ‘grievance’ rhetoric is far more responsible for these killings than the availability of guns.

If I understand correctly, he bought the gun illegally.

Illegally.

Illegally.

Illegally.

Gun control will never stop illegal activities.

What a maroon.

I've been saying that for years. It's not like criminals can't get guns anyway.

Paragraphs & White-space:

HTML eats excess white-space. If you type two or more spaces in a row between words HTML will reduce all of the spaces and tabs to a single space or tab. Carriage Returns (the Enter key) won't do you any good either. Without special care it is easy to end up with a wall of unreadable text. It's quite cruel. If you want white-space beyond a single space you need to insert it explicitly by typing <br> or <p> for a CRLF and a paragraph, respectively.

Break <br> works like you expect Enter (or Carriage Return) to work. It gets you a single LFCR (Line Feed Carriage Return, just like an ancient typewriter). Two styles of break are in use, the preferred version (used in HTML 5) <br /> which contains its own closing tag. Paragraph <p> makes what follows into a paragraph set off by linefeeds. Neither <p> or <br> requires closing tag. The browser software will assume a paragraph is closed when it encounters the next <p>. Closing a paragraph actually makes good sense, closing a break seems like a waste of perfectly good characters.modulo the HTML gods referenced above.

Blockquotes are another useful trick. This entire paragraph has been enclosed in blockquotes. Anything you put between <blockquote> the example text <blockquote> gets indented and set off by linefeeds before and after. This example, rendered, will look like
the example text
the text above. Blockquotes can be nested (placed one inside another) and are a great way to distinguish the source of a quote from your own text.

Preformatted, or the <pre> tag provides a way to grab a bunch of text that is already formatted with tabs and spaces and not have HTML eat all that lovely white-space. As usual a closing tag is required with this </pre>. You can use this trick on a webpage but you need to realize that if the text you are copying wraps because it runs into the edge of the page and not because there is a CRLF present it will behave the same way in the preformatted chunk.

Horizontal Rule <hr> generates a horizontal line the width of the page. People often use this to separate their comments from those being commented upon. This also does not need a closing tag. A width can be set with this element, <hr width="150"> looks like:

Note that it is automagically centered. You can align="right" or "left" to position it explicitly. The usual caveat about using percentages instead of pixels applies so the preferred form looks like:
<hr width=10% align=left>
Which yields:
