Jorge Ramos: ‘I’ve Never Ceased to Be Mexican and I Vote in Elections in Both Countries”
Gateway Pundit ^ | August 26,2015 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 08/26/2015 10:11:05 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Now this… Ramos made the TIME Magazine 100 most influential list. The Mexican-American is a committed open borders leftist. His daughter works for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Jorge Ramos also confessed that he still votes in both Mexico and America.

I’ve never ceased to be Mexican. I have two passports, and I vote in elections in both countries. I’m deeply proud of this privileged duality. The best thing about America is its embrace of diversity.

The worst thing about America, of course, is the racist and xenophobic attitudes that tend to emerge now and then — Arizona’s anti-immigrant laws, for example. I hope that one day soon Americans will treat all immigrants, including the 11 million undocumented residents already living in the United States, with the same largess that I experienced when I arrived here.

No, no fraud. It depends on the rules of the respective countries. There are many people in the U.S. who have dual citizenship (Irish and US,for example) and others who now have US citizenship but whose countries of origins still allow them to vote in that country’s elections. This is particularly true in the case of Eastern European or other “emerging” countries that have had a large emigration to the U.S.

I’ve never ceased to be Mexican.

Then you should not be allowed to vote in U.S. elections.

That’s what Prop 2 in FL was all about - the LIEbertarians voted as a bloc for it.

He’s explicitly expressing continued loyalty to his former country and it’s government.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s ok by Mexico’s rules, there’s no way that isn’t a direct violation of his oath of US citizenship.

Trump should nail his a** to the wall on that.

Isn’t he admitting to FRAUD in either Mexico or America, at least Mexico takes their election laws seriously...

Depends. He was born in Mexico. If he's naturalized then he relinquished his Mexican citizenship and he's committing election fraud in that country. If he isn't naturalized then he's committing election fraud here.

As opposed to Mexico, where they are a constant feature.

If he never ceases to put his allegiance to Mexico above his allegiance to the United States and he states it publicly then he is in violation of his oath of citizenship renouncing foreign allegiances over the United States. This would be cause to revoke his naturalization and send him home.

Idiot jumped up to ask a question without being recognized, interrupting the reporter that was told to proceed … then he acts like the victim. Pathetic little worm.

This oath was recently changed single-handedly by King Barack I to omit the requirement that the naturalized citizen take up arms to defend the USA. Now it’s okay to just come for Free Stuff.

There should be a legal issue with him voting in both countries. The United States does not recognize dual citizenship. Mexico does, several other countries do. When someone says they have dual citizenship that is their status in their “other” country, as far as the U.S. is concerned they are only citizens of the U.S.

They ALL take the oath with their fingers crossed.

If we end up in a war with Mexico, we know whose side they will be on.

That works, too. But anytime “madre” is used, it’s really insulting.

Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Oh my gosh, that is just so 1950's! Which by the way is when my parents became citizens and they later told us that what they are is Americans, they take/took great pride in their birth country but said that was not what they were anymore. This is the problem now people, well very few, come here to be AMERICANS, they come here to get the goodies but still consider themselves Mexicans, Guatemalans, Ecuadorians( went school with one who bad mouthed U.S. and told him to back home) Chinese, Vietnamese, whatever but not AMERICANS.
