I do not think the SBC will. Honestly, if they do, then I will stop being SB.
They are idiots if they think that agreement will hold? Where have they been? These agreements do not hold. They are temporary until they can push for what they really want: their children.
Did anyone really think the Mormons were ever going to walk away from one of their biggest recruitment strategies/efforts?
By staying, they are helping to fund the evil. Nice job. But again, what do you expect from Mormons?

They use Boy Scouts for recruiting to the church? That would explain a lot.
Did you see the Dad who was telling his toddlers they could choose their sexuality after the 4-year-old (the oldest boy) chose a princess doll for a present? The kids were screaming “yeah...” in the background. OF COURSE they had no idea what they were talking about. They were just agreeing with an idiot father.

No surprise here. Mitt was advocating gays in the Boy Scouts when he sat on the board for the Boys Scouts. Now that he has seen his desire come to fruition, it was nothing for Bishop Romney to convince Mormon leadership.
Get ready for it. They held a conference in which they ALLOWED homo-activists to attend last year. That issue is becoming VERY mushy with the SBC.

Yeah. They do try to have it both ways, blindly thinking that they is the Christian way. It is not. You cannot negotiate a position with those who hate God’s law. Cannot be done. Trying will 100% of the time lead to compromise.
The SBC suffers from the same phenom as the rest of the world: weak leaders. The only part of the world with strong leaders is the criminally insane portion (ISIS, Al Queda, Boko Haram, etc).

You make an excellent point: weak leadership. I don’t think we would recognize a strong leader nowadays because in many respects, he would appear, by our perverted modern standards, to be “implacable” and “harsh.” But harshness can be an essential characteristic of a leader. The prophets of God certainly were.
From what I understand... They will continue “using” the boy scouts until they get their own program up & running. The boy scouts is deeply entrenched in the LDS church, being the “young men’s” program. So, in-order not to leave them without a program, they will continue.
But... ANYBODY who has paid ANY attention to the slippery slope of the gay agenda / boy scouts, knows what’s coming next. They just need a little time.
Just my thought.

I thought they would form their own Boy Scouts. Prairie Scouts or something. But they would lose access to the camps and merit badges so I guess they had to stay.

One of their Bishops, who ran for president last time, signed onto the gay agenda. So, I am not surprised. They will have to have some boys raped before they figure out what the Boys Scouts figured out in the 80’s. Maybe the Bishops are pervs? I don’t know much about the social norms and history of that church.
