A gunman killed a reporter and videographer for a CBS affiliate in Virginia in a shooting that was broadcast live Wednesday morning.
Alison Parker and Adam Ward, a reporter and cameraman for CBS Roanoke affiliate WDBJ-TV, died in the shooting, Parker's mother confirmed to CBS News.
WDBJ-TV reports that deputies from Franklin County and Bedford County were on the scene.
The shooting happened at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia.

Court records from Roanoke County District Court show that Mr. Flanagan had filed suit against the TV station where he previously worked in 2014 but the lawsuit was later dismissed. In 2001, Mr. Flanagan had also filed filed suit against a Florida TV news station where he had worked at the time, alleging that he was the victim of racial discrimination.
In the lawsuit, Mr. Flanagan alleged that a producer at the WTWC-TV station in Leon County, Florida called him a “monkey” and others stated that the newscaster got his job because he is black. The lawsuit was later settled.

Just an excuse. His work history of being hired and fired at several news station belies this. He was a professional victim who for whatever reason cried racism everywhere he had worked. Contrast this with Anthony Sadler, also Black, who stood up with his friends to face down the French train terrorist. He no doubt will be considered an Uncle Tom or OREO by the more militant/activist Blacks who believe all Blacks are victims. However, his upbringing in a Christian home and schooling shows a much different result.

She said they are reviewing it but at the very start he Bryce claimed he was discriminated against because he was black, gay and a few other things I don’t recall. He also said the tipping point for him was the Charleston church shootings. He applied for a weapons permit shortly after that.
