How Donald Trump and Fox News Went Back to War
Gabriel Sherman writing for New York Magazine Breitbart.com ^ | August 25, 2015 | From Gabriel Sherman writing for New York Magazine

From Gabriel Sherman writing for New York Magazine: When it comes to dealing with rogue states, Fox News has a firm editorial philosophy: You don’t negotiate. Roger Ailes is learning that the same logic applies to a rogue candidate. Last night, Donald Trump took to Twitter and blew up the uneasy truce Ailes had brokered with him two weeks ago following Trump’s attacks on Fox star Megyn Kelly after the first GOP debate.

CNN has an opportunity to remake their brand

I have suspected as such for about the past eight weeks. They are actually more tolerable these days. Glad I'm not the only one noticing.

If trump is so unelectable, there is no reason for Mr. Ailes to be worrying. The world does not need to be saved from someone who can’t win.

If CNN had half a clue, it would simply switch places with FoxNews and capitalize on this for all it’s worth.

It can’t believe anyone who has watched the numbers over the years, could miss the undeniable truth that Conservatism sells better than the Leftist dogma.

FoxNews is committing suicide.

Thank you for the mention.

Regarding Trump being “unelectable,” the corrupt media proved the following with Obama. Any candidate who can do a reasonable job of reading from a teleprompter, in conjunction with low-information voters whose only concern is to see a candidate’s lips move, can be elected president.

I don’t need to be saved from Donald Trump. I am an adult and I will take care of myself without being told what to think by an elitist snob like Roger Ailes.

Could it be the drop in oil prices, given that the largest share of News Corp stock held by anyone not named Murdoch is owned by Alwaleed bin-Talal, and News Corp owne 19% of Alwaleed’s Saudi Media company Rotana? Follow the money, and never forget that, according to Louis Farrakahn’s and Charles’ Rangel’s former attorney, Percy Sutton, Alwaleed was Barack Obama’s sponsor/patron, beginning at least with Barry’s time at Occidental. Our media and politicians are all tangled up in petroleum profit kickbacks, giving the Saudi’s influence they should never have had, and may now regretting what with Obama’s progressives changing horses to support Shia terrorists.

Though he didn’t name Barack as a recipient, Vernon Jarrett, father-in-law to Valerie, wrote a 1979 Chicago Tribune article praising the funding Alwaleed had designated to provide education for deserving minorities in the U.S. Twenty Million dollars went to Harvard just about the time Barack was admitted. The deal was administered with the help of Alwaleed’s legal counsel, and former law partner, Don Warden/Khalid al Mansour. Warden, one of several founders of the Black Panthers, converted to Wahhabi Islam in the 1950s and attended Boalt Hall in the 1970s, about when Alwaleed attended Menlo College, across he San Fran Bay, and just before Don/Alwaleed opened a law office in San Francisco. Ailes briefly was reported as the registered holder of Alwaleed’s 7% of News Corp’s voting shares. It appears now to be back under Alwaleed’s name, Kingdom Holdings, but there has been lots of restructuring and I don’t claim to have the expertise to untangle it.

"What is ailing the Roger?"

What is ailing Ailes has nothing to do with Megyn. What ails him is that both he and the Donald are alpha males thrown together by circumstances into butting their heads together and locking horns in tentative death fights.

Bill O'Reilly, who has no use for Trump, is another alpha male who can be thrown into this mix.

Ailes is CEO of a rich and powerful world-wide media outlet. O'Reilly has no peers in ratings and viewership in his time slot. Trump is tops in his business field and is a billionaire.

When the brash Trump appears almost out of nowhere to achieve the pre-eminent position in American politics today and the three are mixed together due to the necessities of having to have contact with each other, and, indeed, to depend on each other in business relationships of a sort for the foreseeable future, the sparks are sure to fly as one battles for top position over the other.

It's almost a primal thing.

Trump didn't ask for this because he's not threatened by the others. But Ailes', O'Reilly's and the Fox corporation's bottom-lines and wallets ARE threatened by upstart Trump...we already see it happening to them personally in their once un-threatened, un-challenged, relatively peaceful, high-ratings, insulated world.

I'm betting on Donald in this battle of the bull mooses...and I'm also betting that Trump will have the most antlers over his fireplace mantle when the battles of alpha males are over with.

Ailes and O'Reilly will have scars.

Ailes and O'Reilly have gambled from the beginning that they could paw the ground and snort and stare Trump down. But their bravado isn't working.....because Trump is a very long-time and successful alpha male, himself!

Roger doesn’t like that Trump didn’t let he and Kelly conduct unanswered a series of proxy attacks on Trump through their invited experts.

Amen.

IMHO< Cruz should have said.

“Megyn...there you go again.”

Then proceeded to tell her that she is playing the “anchor baby gambit,” and that he has serious questions whether any such children should be, or really, can be considered to be US citizens.

That he does not believe that such children of obvious illegals are “subject to the jurisdiction,” of the US.

I agree.

While many of her panty-sniffers here on FR were howling over her, I never thought she was very hot - or very bright or very good at her job.

I hate dyed blonde hair and see much prettier girls daily in my own neighborhood.

O'Reilly would betray his own mother to protect his turf, his ego and his ratings.

Trump is finding out now who his real friends in the media are.

News Corp/Murdoch is also Australian-owned. Rupert is no longer involved in FNC/News Corp ops. Turns out he has two lefty sons. Speaks volumes.

*Guilt ridden CNN allowing a pro-trump Latino advocate to push back against the narrative. Roger Ailes is chugging Maalox as he realizes the pillars of his empire can be brought down by Donald Trump in the role of Samson.
