Republican White House hopeful Jeb Bush on Monday accused Asians of abusing rules allowing infants born in the United States to be American citizens, amid a campaign row over immigration.
Bush has clashed with rivals -- including the Republican presidential frontrunner billionaire Donald Trump and top Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton -- over use of the term "anchor babies," a derogatory description of children born in the United States to undocumented parents.
Migrants' rights activists see the term as a slur used by anti-immigration campaigners to describe the babies of those who sneak across the border to give birth, gifting their offspring US citizenship and enhancing the parents' legal status.
But on Monday during a visit to Texas near the US border with Mexico, when responding to a question about whether the "anchor baby" row would hurt his ability to win the Hispanic vote, Bush said the situation has more to do with other immigrants.
"What I was talking about was the specific case of fraud being committed where there's organized efforts -- and frankly it's more related to Asian people coming into our country, having children in that organized effort, taking advantage of a noble concept with birthright citizenship," Bush said.

Somewhat changing topic but my friend is Kinder teacher in Anaheim, CA. Said this year, 29 kids in class are all English language learners. Not sure how many in her class total but that’s outrageous! Our country is doomed.

Well I’m right in the middle of “flyover country”.
When my daughter had a baby last year, it became obvious from two visits to the maternity hospital that:
1) most of the babies being born are future Democrat voters
2) most of the births are being paid for by current Republican voters
What’s hilarious is how Trump has drawn Jeb deep into this issue to the point where Jeb is making statements he never would have otherwise. I bet Jeb’s donors are cringing at the fact he’s even saying anything like this at all. And Jeb wouldn’t be saying this if Trump hadn’t made this an issue.

My wife is Asian and immigrated legally.
I remember having to provide three years of tax forms to prove she wouldn’t go on welfare when she got to the US.
But only illegal immigration is an act of love, right Jeb?
