New York Mag: Trump Won’t Quit Until He Takes Down Bush
Breitbart - Big Government ^ | 8-22-2015 | Breitbart News

From Gabriel Sherman writing at New York magazine:

The candidate most imperiled by Trump’s staying power is Bush, whose campaign had expected that Trump’s childish antics would position the former governor favorably as the party’s resident grown-up. Instead, the opposite has happened: Day after day, Trump is highlighting Bush’s enthusiasm gap and laying bare the emotional distance between the Establishment front-runner and his more radical constituents. Trump’s events, which have featured Aerosmith soundtracks and helicopter rides, make Bush’s campaign stops seem about as exciting as Brookings Institution panels. A few days ago, when both candidates were in New Hampshire, Fox News cut to a commercial during a Bush speech in mid-sentence and teased an empty Trump stage, suggesting that even a vacant Trump lectern is more interesting than Bush talking. “He really lacks energy,” Trump told me.

The Bush campaign and its supporters are now taking the fight to the medium where Trump dominates: television. On August 16, Bush’s super-PAC, Right to Rise, announced it will be dropping $10 million in ads in early-primary states. And yet, this is likely to goad Trump into a counterattack. “If Trump starts doing TV spots, he’d be a huge problem,” says the fund-raiser. Trump told me he’s prepared to counter Bush’s ad buy with “whatever it takes.”

Bush is gonna have a tough time selling his Amnesty line any more since Trump has made it OK to say illegal immigration is killing us.

As if Bush really ever had a chance, except in the minds of the establishment.

Hillary's mole. Ha!

Yeah, Hillary for President. Because the mounting evidence of her corruption won't hold her back from winning the White Hut.....

The most important takeaway from 2015 is going to be the fact that all of the "experts" believed (or said they did) that the two inevitable candidates were the two that nobody wanted.

There is a very important lesson there, maybe several, but the most important is : we're not as free as we think we are.

The GOPe and the Chamber of Commerce must be gnashing their teeth over how to stop this and plant their pigeon in the White House.

There is nothing that Bush is selling that I want to buy. Just because he was a governor and part of a dynasty - they thought he was a shoo-in. It makes sense now that all the talking heads long before others got into the race were spewing their - “we need a governor” to be the next president. They were laying the groundwork even then. How’d that work out for them? We the people will decide who our next president will be - without the establishment and media picking our candidate for us. At least, I hope we have that choice.

If Trump doesn’t screw up and fall from the grace of the everyday American, we will see just how honest our election process is.....

I was awe struck at just how much better Trump comes off with even a tiny bit of favorable editing. The Kelly File of all places, although Martha MacCallum was guest hosting, ran an edited Trump’s New Hampshire rally. It was solid gold, and it was obvious MaCallum enjoyed the show.

Point is, Trump ads would would kill off Jeb in short order.

“Jeb Bush is never, ever going to out-think Donald Trump.”

One thing is for sure, Trump doesn’t like to lose. Look at how he has discussed Romney and McCain losing to Obama.

Trump will not like losing to Jebbie, and I can’t see that happening.

I’m still not relaxing. I would not be at all surprised to see Yabe win yet.

I have zero faith in Republican primary voters. It’s disturbing that Yabe is number two in most polls.
