I share your skepticism. It is too early in the season for the polls to be reliable for absolute values and they are deceiving because they are rarely apples to apples.

So I should not be surprised to find that Rubio's numbers are inflated or even that Trump's are conceivably inflated for that matter. But I do think the polls are worthwhile looking at in the sense that they might reveal trends and the trend I see is a growing wave against the Democrats. The question for me is whether they can stem the tide with another candidate besides Hillary? Jed's poor showing is collateral evidence of such a wave directed against the governing class.

The Democrats might be able to control matters with Bernie Sanders but only within their own ranks. Certainly a Joe Biden is too closely connected with the governing class to have cross party appeal.

It's a fake poll . Of course the media wants Rubio. Rubio is for increasing 3rd world immigration to the USA and amnesty which will make the USA a socialist state. That's what the media wants.

It is perennially an open question whether the signal characteristic of the GOPe is stupidity or cupidity

I quit wondering a long time ago, they are not stupid, we are.

I don’t care if Rubio leads by 100 points, I’m not voting for him.

Honestly, I don't think any Dem candidate without the name Kardashian has a shot.

Unless our candidate's name is Bush.

Agreed with the proviso that this might be the last national election cycle in which conservatives have a chance of winning because the demographic inevitabilities will take effect unless somebody like Trump can put a stop to immigration.

Come to think of it, a "stop" probably will not be enough it must be reversed.

Yeah, I agree-—except that we both know that even some of the most “irreversable” trends in history get reversed by some of the most unexpected things. Virtually everyone in Europe was concerned with “overpopulation” in 1910. Course, we know how that ended.

Good point.

The world changing factor of the First World War was another way of saying that technology changed everything as technology changed the face of war. We are in a world of technological turmoil and no one can say what tomorrow will bring. My father who was born in 1911 would be bewildered by the state of technology today and the changes in lifestyle it has wrought.

The Cheap Labor Express shells out a lot of maniey for these polls, you have to have electability, you know.

¡Yeb! is flaming out and they’re working Plans B, C and D.

Plan B - Rubberio, so conservative he wants to abandon the rule of law.

Plan C - Kasich, so Christian it is inhumane to enforce the laws on fraudulently documented foreigners.

Plan D - Walker? - I have had a gut feeling since I saw this guy that he is a stealth amnesty candidate
