A Delaware judge on Friday ordered Molly Shattuck, an ex-Baltimore Ravens cheerleader, to serve every other weekend in jail for the next two years.
Shattuck was facing up to 15 years in prison after she pled guilty to one count of fourth degree rape back in June. Just over a year prior, Shattuck began a physical relationship with a 15-year old boy (reportedly a classmate of her son) she met over Instagram. She was ordered to pay the victim's family $10,500 as well.

One female teacher in our high school was ‘doing’ more than one senior but guys were bragging about it and very happy. This was in the late 50s/early60s.

Actually, this is nothing new.
Statuary rape, rape defined by absolute statute,(such as age) not degree of force as in a conventional rape charge.
Men who deny that boys can be harmed by having sex with women who are old enough to be their mothers (or even older) are lying to themselves. These are the same men who often find pornography, promiscuity, prostitution and adultery to be acceptable as well. It is not unusual for them to have difficulty forming lasting attachments with women.
The simple truth is that if this woman advertised and made herself available to all males under the legal age, there’d be a line extending all the way across the U.S. of teen boys eagerly waiting their turn. I doubt too many of them would have felt they’d been taken advantage of.
I know a 39 year old guy who is smoking hot. He’s extremely charming, great singers and has a terrific sense of humor. He also just went to prison for having sex with a 14 year old girl. She didn’t feel taken advantage of because they were in love and he made sure she enjoyed herself. By your definition should he not be in jail?

It’s idiotic to lump consensual underage sex into the violent rape crime category. A different charge is needed. A different word.
Skeeter, I would ask you to please realize that “age of consent” laws are under the gun these days. They are under the gun by vile animalistic men.
If we’re going to trash them when they are broken, then we’re in effect joining in to say that age of consent laws have always been wrong. Please don’t dismiss the abuse of these laws. They are important.
What you may see as a guy becoming man, will soon turn into a guy become a man’s.
These laws must remain in place and be respected by all of us.
These are not “a wink and a nod” offenses.
When a man has sex with a willing underage girl it is wrong.
When a woman has sex with a willing underage boy, it is wrong.

I used to think that it was only a few crackpot feminists who insisted that there is no difference until I started reading these threads.
On the other hand, we should be careful not to dilute the meaning of a rape charge, either. This was not the same as a guy leaping out of the bushes and forcing himself on a woman without mutual consent.
To all the women in this thread. You have never been a teenaged boy. All they think about ALL THE TIME is being naked with a woman. ANY woman except maybe their mother and grandmother. This is an all consuming passion. I doubt that teenage girls sit around and dream of having sex with older men but teenage boys do think about older women. I’m sure you’ve never been awakened in the middle of the night with seamen uncontrollably shooting everywhere because you were dreaming of some girl or woman about to touch you.
I’m 68....she looks damn good to me......but then again I don’t notice that many ugly women any more!!!
