GOP Elites Launch SICKENING Plan To Destroy Trump
tellmenow.com ^ | 8/20/15 | Andrew Spalding

Posted on 08/21/2015 3:34:10 AM PDT by cotton1706

It’s been almost two weeks since the first Republican debate, which Donald Trump won by a landslide, and now the GOP elite is trying to ensure that the business mogul never has the chance to participate in a debate again.

The GOP establishment HATES Donald Trump because they know that they will never be able to control him. The wealthy donors of the GOP would much rather have Jeb Bush in the White House, since he comes from a political dynasty with a long history of being controlled by the GOP.

Earlier this week, we reported that the GOP was trying to get Trump banned from future debates. Now, it has been revealed that the GOP is set to start airing anti-Trump attack ads after Labor Day. According to Conservative Tribune, this bombshell was dropped by Charlie Gasparino during a Fox News appearance on Wednesday.

Gasparino told Fox’s Neil Cavuto that the goal of these attack ads is “reset the primaries,” and weaken Trump’s enormous lead on the other Republican candidates.

“They think he’s gotten away for too long and for too much attacking them unabated,” he explained. “They’re going to start fighting back.”

Gasparino added that two of the main candidates running attack ads against Trump will be Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Sen. Marco Rubio. AshLee Strong, National Press Secretary for Scott Walker for America, has denied that the Governor has plans to attack Trump in his ads, however.

It’s sickening that the GOP elites are so desperate to be in control that they are now turning on the person the vast majority of American Republicans are behind. They can try to take down Trump, but we doubt they’ll succeed!

This article is implying somehow the RNC has taken sides and is actually running ads against one of its own candidates. That’s not what is happening, it’s just candidates attacking each other which is par for the course.

Maybe. After seeing what they did to Joe Miller and Chris McDaniel, people have good reason to be skeptical.

If they provide the $$$$ for the ads, what do you call that? “They never run ads in the primaries.” They’ve never faced a Trump in the primaries!

Remember how they destroyed Gingrich after he won South Carolina? They hit him with a literal avalanche of negative ads.

This is their modus operandi...but only against conservatives. They NEVER rain such hellfire on democrats.

Newt didn't have any money to fight back, he was doubted by many conservatives because of his cheating on his wife, and his couch playing with nancypeeloser.

Trump doesn't care if the pubbies come after him and may even welcome it because it would further remove him any 'Establishment' stain.

Trump is not really conservative, he is a populist, and he has his finger on the pulse of real America.

Unless he is assassinated, he is the odds on favorite, and I don't care what the polls are saying.

I have talked to so many demonRATS that voted for the halfrican that regret it and have said out loud, in front of their demonRAT cohorts that they will vote for Trump.

There is tremendous favor for Trump in local bars, clubs, firehalls, golf courses and to my surprise, with many, many young people.

DemonRATs that have been dipped in demonRAT kool-aid for years, have been vocally and enthusiastically supporting Trump.

This is a real movement because the American people are pissed off, and I mean PISSED OFF.

The GOPe would prefere to have a Democrat in the WH instead of Trump. It would be easier to maintain the money train.

Absolutely true. Remember NY-23 around 2009. The Tea Party candidate was winning, so the GOP candidate dropped out and told his supporters to vote for the Rat, who subsequently won. This action was endorsed and supported by the GOP party leadership.

“Cruz has some dangerous attitudes on immigration.”

Yes, he wants more H1Bs. The H1Bs generally take high level jobs. Are we to believe those are jobs Americans won’t do? A lot of them also have babies.

Also, I read elsewhere that his wife signed a Council on Foreign Relations report recommending the formation of a North American Union. I haven’t read the report, but I was able to verify she did serve on that committee and she did indeed sign the recommendation. I also heard on the radio that Ted himself was pushing for a North American Union when he was in the Bush Administration.

I would like to know Ted would say about a North American Union today.

Trump is from new York, where they hate gun ownership.

I wonder how he would react to riots like in Ferguson. Would he decide that restricting gun rights is a valid response? I’m not against Trump but i wonder about issues like this.

Anyone heard him speak about the 2nd Amendment?

True, but keep in mind that skepticism in general is a good thing, and should always be applied evenly, against all sides.

For instance, as much as these “GOP is going to smear Trump” stories evoke McDaniels, to me they also evoke the dirty tricks the McCaskal Campaign ran (and Claire herself has now gleefully admitted to) to get Akin nominated as her GOP opponant.

So both sides play these games, even to the point of manipulating each other’s primaries. One key thing to keep in mind though is tyatvthe GOPe is really ham-handed and inept at pulling them off. The Dems are MUCH better at it.

I say let’s not get too worked up over stories like this, and keep our powder dry, until such a smear campaign/ads actually appear.

Interesting slightly connected side note, I am an active UAW member, in a conversation yesterday with two life long democrat coworkers, they admitted the dems are unashamed, full on communists. Never expected to hear that from them. Shows there is hope.

It is a cliche that running attack ads hurts both the attacker and the attacked.

It would be foolish for Walker and Rubio to spend limited finances on attacking Trump, as it would only benefit the Kasichs, Cruzes, Jindals and Chrities in the race.

Besides that Trump has the financial and star power to go Kim Jung Un on anyone he pleases, including John Ellis Bush.

It would not be beyond the GOPe to have independent PACs setup the attacks, and leak that it is Walker and Rubio in order to keep John Ellis Bush and Kasich out of the fray.

You are absolutely correct!!! I am a full blown registered Republican in my home state of Florida....but I want nothing to do with the Republican Party Establishment. I will give them no support, nor money...until both Mitch McConnell & John Boehner (Obama Enablers, RINOs) are removed from their leadership posts in the Senate & House respectively!!! And...i will only vote for, either Donald Trump, Ben Carson, or Ted Cruz in the Florida Republiccan primary!!!

Actually....I would be quite content if the Reoublican Party disappeared & was replaced by a vibrant effective Consetvative Party!!!

Okay. But from the post I originally replied to:

I just injected a dose where there didn't appear to be any at all.

"There is nothing wrong with that"

Well if you like winning elections there is a lot wrong with attacking the leading candidate. A much better idea is running positive ads. All this proves is Jeb and Walker would be happier with a Rat (Hillary) then Trump. Not surprising since Hillery is a member (in good standing) of the uniparty and Trump is not.

What they don't understand is that Trump is in control of the narrative. That has always been the problem for the republicans--always reacting to someone else, never leading. Prediction: They'll start up their ads attacking "yesterday's news" and Trump will respond by dropping his next position paper that will again change the narrative and leave the attacks looking instantly outdated and out of touch--further boosting Trump's image as a real leader.

Trump is ratings gold for the networks and he knows they'll sell their souls for the sort of guaranteed audience that he delivers. As a result, he's owning the MSM this cycle. It's amazing to watch a true master at work.

I think it is a brilliant strategy how they are going after Trump. They are using Levin, Rush and the birthright crowd and they don’t even know it.

While the Conservatives are talking Constitution vs Congress, the RINO’s and Rats are going to go after the Conservative’s war on immigrants. Notice I didn’t say illegal?

Bush said it best, “sometime you have to lose the primaries to win the election.” Thing is, if this plan works, Bush will be the eventual nominee and lose to the rat because 1) if indies had a choice between a rino and a rat, they are voting for the rat and 2)The republican nominee will also be accused of waging a war against immigrants.

RNC and state parties DO NOT provide financial support before primary election.

This story is all Sierra stirring and not anything real.

The reality is that 80% of the current political stories are reporters filling time and space with BS

But Reagan paid for that microphone!

Trump will simply buy the microphone company.

If God blesses me with another child it will be named Reagan.

I’m crossing my fingers.

Precluding Trump from participating in the “debates” won’t hurt him and will hurt the candidates who do participate if he is barred. If he is shut out then I would ho[e that the most conservative other candidates would all withdraw then all organize a separate set of “debates.

Yeah, announced that he's going to give a competing channel exclusive rights to a candidates forum to run at the same time as the GOP debate. Invite the other candidates. See who wins that one. The chickens and the weaklings will stick with cnn. Trump and Cruz will have the stage and ratings for themselves.
