Iowa Talk Radio Host Steve Deace Endorses Ted Cruz

Iowa based conservative talk radio host Steve Deace announced on his radio program today that he is endorsing Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 96% for the Republican Presidential nomination.

“He’s what we’ve been waiting for: an end to the false choice between our principles and electability,” Deace said of Cruz in his endorsement.

He has proven courage of conviction, a commitment to our principles, but he’s also raised the resources and put the sort of national campaign together on the ground that it takes to actually defeat the GOP establishment for the nomination. He is ready to run a national campaign. And we believe this makes him our best chance to offer the American people a real choice and not an echo for a change.

“Steve Deace is unwavering in his commitment to conservative principles,” Senator Cruz said in a statement released by his campaign. “He is a truth-teller, a courageous conservative, and a powerful voice for liberty. I am thrilled to have his support and look forward to him helping us reach millions of Americans.”

And Ted Cruz mentally outguns the democrats and media about like the USA outguns Fiji.

Deace has a great radio show and is one of the most consistent voices out there denouncing the GOP establishment. I heard Mark Levin praise him as a great host a couple weeks ago.

I like Ted, but can he overcome the trump juggernaut?. Trump should name his cabinet soon and Cruz should be Attorney General.

And Cruz can return the favor. Naming Trump Secretary of Commerce. It’s a love fest.

I’d be happy either way. What we need is victory. Complete crushing victory.

Deace needs to replace Erick Erickson as the young overweight conservative radio host.

I think Deace hosted Howie Carr’s Boston Radio show which goes into New Hampshire as some sort of early state unity thing.

We're still 5 months away from the first primary and you think Trump should be naming his cabinet? That's putting the cart before the horse, don't you think?

Cabinet members are chosen by a president or a president-elect, not by a primary candidate.

Rudy was leading by a wide margin about this time before the 08 election and in 2012 I believe it was Perry out in front around this time.

You are correct. Perry was way out in front. And as we know he didn’t get the nomination. Hopefully, for America liberal Donald Trump doesn’t either.

Deace’ peak is long past in Iowa. He isn’t even on a major radio station in Iowa.

Deace endorsed Cruz months ago.

Trump’s big political weakness is that he has no ground game. For that reason alone, he will not win the nomination; but he is influencing the direction of the GOP and Cruz will benefit.

Trump has had an Iowa ground game since about the beginning of this year.

Trump is ahead here. But I don’t think his draw here in Iowa is any different than anywhere else.
From what I read; Trump supporters around the country talk exactly like his supporters here.
People like his bluntness and have a hope he can get something changed as an outsider.

Last I heard was about a dozen paid staffers intending to hit all 99 counties. Trump is a hot ticket due to reality TV. A lot of middle-aged women volunteers getting organized.

Walker’s got a pretty good ground game. Cruz too. And surprisingly, Carson.

Jeb never bothered.

But it is, after all, just Iowa. Unknowns can come to national attention, and seemingly good candidates can stumble, like Hillary in 2008 or Perry last cycle.

Cruz..atty general?

Come on man.

If Trump makes it to the primary election and is the front runner, I’ll likely add my vote to the rest.

Gotta tell ya though, Ted Cruz is the true statesman here. I believe Ted would make a much better president. He is metered, well educated, can articulate his message unlike the squeeky wheel Trump and has a true constitutional conservative record...unlike ol Trumpy boy.

Ya can’t go back and say Ted Cruz was pro-choice or for an automatic weapons ban, for single payer healthcare or donating to democrats, receiving phone calls from Bill Clinton.

I love Trumps message (bloviating), but damn he’z arrogant. Got that loud yankee mouth that pops off whatever comment hits his lips.
