These are items I would have gone to Sears or the local hardware store for just a few years ago.
One goes to Sears/hardware stores nowadays and many replacement items cannot be found. Sears usually directs you to their online 'store'.
I too have dozens of online purchases delivered any given year. Just this month went to Lowes for an appliance and found a more current model (with more attachments) online at a much lower price.
I’m sure the fact that 25% - 30% of US adults are out of the workforce has nothing to do with these retail results.
Just another reason to get out of Kalifornia.
+1
70% of GDP is buying crap made elsewhere and we wonder why wd are in trouble.
yep, that’s the way I see it.
Yes, that to.
But how many people go shopping in areas like those those areas of Baltimore during the riots?
People getting robbed or beaten up at shopping malls ?
The way society is even driving on the roads ?
dear vermont,
In retail, you either have high-schoolers, those that don’t want to flip burgers, single moms, or queers.
The only thing JC Penney has going for it, is it’s Stafford line of suits, shirts, slacks, and outerwear, for the office.
Now, with a lot of the aforementioned stores going down, it is because they are behind this queer-crossdressing-no boys-no girls thing.
And lastly, a lot of these stores have created a place for themselves, in a “gun free zone” mall.
