CNN)Donald Trump appeared to contradict his own immigration policy proposal Tuesday, just two days after releasing a detailed outline of his plans.
Trump said he wants foreigners who study at American universities to be able to stay in the U.S., but his immigration plan released Sunday would make it more difficult for foreigners to obtain certain visas and green cards that would allow them to remain and work in the U.S. legally.

I’m glad Trump is out there, I think he has totally changed the direction of the debate—entirely for the better—but I can’t take seriously his many, many contradictory statements over the years.
Seems that if we’ve learned anything it’s that the only presidents who accomplish anything lasting are the men who live and breathe their principles and convictions.
Cruz is that man for me.
I read this a few days ago. It is Trump Immigration Reform position paper. It does not talk about the deportation of all 11 million illegal border crossers. That type of hyperbole is designed to scare off voters and I have seen no recent video of Trump saying it. I think the going after lawbreakers will do a good job of thinning out the ones we don’t want here. There are other measures, like enhanced penalties for overstaying a visa, ICE cooperation with gang task forces, ending birthright citizenship, defunding sanctuary cities and a nationwide e-verify system.
