For those of you who are unfamiliar with him, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is a the best selling author of both "The Harbinger" and "The Mystery of the Shemitah."

Cahn is a Messianic Jew, and a devoted man of God.
I believe what he speaks is prophetic, and his words echo sound and true.
The dire warnings to America he spoke of our nation's race towards Godlessness (and looming judgment) in "The Harbinger" are eerily coming to pass.
Even more dire, Cahn has discovered that the ancient Shemitah cycle of 7 years that God ordained in Leviticus also follows recent patterns in America indicating economic and other calamity at the end of the Shemitah for a nation that walks away from God. What the Lord intended as a blessing every 7 years becomes a curse and judgment for the nations that curse the Almighty.
This coming end of Shemitah is also a "Super Shemitah", meaning that it ends a pattern of seven (a number God uses to mean completion) Shemitahs of 49 years, ending in the Biblical year of Jubliee.
We also have the last of the Blood Moons coming in September, and this will be a "Super Moon", closer to the earth and appearing about 14% greater in size (full perigee) and 25 times brighter than a micro moon.
Rabbi Cahn's message is about 13 minutes long, and located HERE.
It is all not doom and gloom, but full of wisdom, encouragement, and prudence. I urge anyone reading this to watch it.
Cahn reminds us that God does not have to act, that is up to Him, and His timing. However, the wise heed advice, and prepare. Spiritually first, and then physically.

The original meaning of the laws of Shemitta (the spelling of the transliteration used in the Schottentstin Talmud Yerushalmi Tractate Sheviis) are much more concrete.
Cahn is a born again Christian. He believes Jesus is the Messiah, and is an evangelical. His ministry has nothing to do with late Judaism, new Judaism, post-biblical Judaism, or any other interpretation you wish to assign, including mysticism.
I’m very aware of his stuff and I give it consideration.

Interesting take, though. I don’t disagree with him at all.
I think these Shemitah and Harbinger books are a crock; they aren’t really Biblical. Their focus is on money.
A stock market “crash” or correction is nothing more or less than when rich fools grab all the money and run.
These books are TELLING the rich folks the market is gonna crash, so they should grab their money and run! Because only their money will save them! Which will actually cause the market to crash.
Can we say, duh!?! Self-fulfilling prophecy?
What’s different now is that the money itself is overvalued and won’t be worth squat.
Love God, reject sin, tend your garden.

Cahn's message, in both his books and in this 13 minute Aug 15 broadcast, is clear and consistent:
1. Get right with God
2. Jesus is the only way to Salvation
3. If you have something in your life that needs to be removed (sin), get it out
4. If you need more Bible study, meditation, prayer, or love in your life, get that in
5. Prepare yourself spiritually, and be ready always just as Christ taught us
6. After you have done #5, then it is both prudent and wise to prepare physically (essential supplies, food, water, etc)
7. Pray that God uses you during times of crisis, because when the gray areas fade further and turn to darkness, the light of God can turn even brighter in a dark world, and we may be His instrument to spread the Gospel and to be a blessing in times of calamity

The thing that is making this different is that it’s not coming from the usual alarmists.
I was planning a trip to FL in Sept and God stopped me from making the plans.
Two days later, I found out that some friends who ALWAYS vacation in FL in Sept aren’t going either. The husband said the same thing, that they aren’t supposed to travel in Sept. He said that they are not going away from home anywhere.
The Lord has confirmed that message to me in three very clear ways since He initially stopped me from making that trip.
I’m listening.
I know better at this stage of my life than to not listen when God is that clear about something.
