Top Democrat Prof. Says ‘I’veNever Seen any Politician w/Better Immigration Plan than Trump
Breitbart ^ | 8/17/15 | Julia Hahn

Demonstrating the broad appeal of his in-depth immigration plan released Sunday, Trump’s proposal has won the accolades of one of the nation’s leading experts on the H-1B visas program. The H-1B is a visa designed to provided corporations with cheaper and less experienced guest workers to fill technology jobs.

Norm Matloff, a professor at UC Davis, has written extensively about H-1B visa abuses, and his work is widely cited in the H-1B reform community.

Matloff, a self-described Democrat and “longtime admirer of Sen. Bernie Sanders, gave Donald Trump’s H-1B policy “an A+” and was pleased that the Republican frontrunner was willing to take aim at the Republican establishment’s preferred candidate, Sen. Marco Rubio. Rubio is pushing a plan to triple H-1B visas so that corporations can more easily import substitute guest workers.

Is this a head fake by a Democrat to make Republicans turn on Trump? Or is Trump truly appealing to both Democrats and Republicans?

Sessions approves, this liberal approves.

Strange days indeed.

If we can use the word after Obama, Trump's plan transcends party, it is American. That fact will draw Trump support, just like Reagan did, from both Republicans and Democrats.

Isn’t Bernie against illegal immigration too? I know a lot of liberals...including the loony left...who are against illegals.

Trump may end up unifying the Republican, Independent and Democrat middle class. He could turn out to be the political class’s worst nightmare.

Nigel Farage of the United Kingdom Independence Party spoke at CPAC and told Republicans ‘don’t forget the Reagan Democrats”.

Trump must have listened.

The Democrats are not a homogeneous group. Some parts will pull away. For example; unionized construction workers have no commonality with most of the Democrat base and they are openly hostile toward foreign workers. They should love Trump.

There does seem to be more than a little Farage in Trump—which is a good thing.

Or is it that he approves of only one facet of Trumps plan, the H-1B part?

No, Democrats and socialists like big government. They’re central planners, control freaks and interventionists. It’s how you kill republics and liberty.

One of the very few problems I have with Ted Cruz is he is pushing the increase in H1-B visas also.

Personally I think Cruz is out of gas. He never had a path to the nomination and now the party is over. I think most of Cruz’s support will end up in Trump’s pocket once they get over the sting of defeat. Who are they going to jump to Rubio? I doubt it.
