Dr. Ben Carson: No ‘Philosophical’ or ‘Religious’ Exemptions for Vaccinations (heads up)
Breitbart ^ | 02/03/15

Dr. Ben Carson, a likely 2016 GOP presidential contenders, believes there should be no “philosophical” or “religious” exemptions for vaccinations.

“Although I strongly believe in individual rights and the rights of parents to raise their children as they see fit, I also recognize that public health and public safety are extremely important in our society,” Carson told The Hill. “Certain communicable diseases have been largely eradicated by immunization policies in this country and we should not allow those diseases to return by foregoing safe immunization programs, for philosophical, religious or other reasons when we have the means to eradicate them.”

BTW, what man made medical prescription do you know that works 100% the same way on 100% of the people?

It is very stupid to be "penny wise and pound foolish."

There are some people who react badly to vaccines, and some of those people die. The numbers are very small compared to the numbers of people who die without the vaccines.

The 1918 Flue pandemic killed between 50-100 million people.

In the US and Canada the Polio virus affected 42,173 people in 1949, and killed nearly 3,000 of them.

You are trying to compare the deaths of a very few numbers of people to many thousands or millions of people, and this is just foolish.

Bottom line - some people should not get vaccinated due to genetic disposition to adverse reactions.

Such people who can be so identified should be exempt from being required to take a vaccine.

He is right. Anything less is child abuse, and you know it.

Who has the right to say who should sacrifice for whom? That cuts both ways.

And again what does the science predict given the anticipated level of conscientious objectors?

It is highly disingenuous to speak as though it was a binary choice of immunize everybody or put everybody at risk of disease.

Where is the science, once more, concerning the anticipated level of conscientious objectors.

What’s the benefit of freedom?

I reject your premise. The foremost freedom which the government has a duty to protect is the freedom to survive.

It’s not their effectiveness that I’m worried about.

So it’s okay to put everyone in a dull prison if it will guarantee they live to be 120 years old. Check.

Carson thinks our corrupt federal Government, like Nazi Germany, should be able to force vaccines on anyone against their Will....

He's also anti-gun which lost him my vote a long time ago. (not that he cares)

I like Ben Carson, but I could never vote for him based on past 2nd Amendment statements. Same with Trump. Both are not politicians who have a voting record do all we have are their past statements.

Trump shows some potential of adapting as he understands what his newly romanced conservatism really wants. He’s playing politics for keeps.

Carson, I fear, has no reason to want to change.

Simple .... make it mandatory for entering children into school ... every year to have evidence that the necessary/required shots are up to date.

It was exactly this way when my children were in grade school, when we moved to Texas from Oklahoma years ago. Actually I supposed it was still in effect this way today.

If not ... why not? It was absolutely effective!

Buh bye!
Not only unsuitable for POTUS, but I wouldn’t want him as surgeon general either.

Yes, I somewhat agree, but the forced vaccinations are a deal-breaker for me, if true.

First, I need to find out if that’s his ‘true’ stance and go from there.

I have already made up my mind, I will not vote for another Bush or Bush type candidate.

This sounds uncharacteristically imperious.

Because it is.

Doctor knows best about rkba in cities too. One more example and we're going to have to omit the "uncharacteristic" tag.
