Democrats Freak Out in Response to Trump’s Immigration Plan That Puts Americans Before Foreigners

Jim Hoft Aug 16th, 2015 5:06 pm 151 Comments

pablo Pablo Manriquez, DNC Director of Hispanic Media, with Michelle and Barack Obama

The Democratic Party freaked out today after businessman Donald Trump released his immigration plan that included deportations and wall paid for by Mexico. Breitbart reported:

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is panicking in response to billionaire and 2016 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s immigration reform plan, which is designed to get Americans back to work instead of putting foreigners and special interests ahead of Americans as so many politicians do.

The DNC was so freaked out at Trump’s plan, they rushed out a statement from Pablo Manriquez—their “Director of Hispanic Media”—filled with grammatical errors. The statement, which is nothing more than typical Democratic Party talking points in favor of illegal aliens, accidentally doesn’t capitalize “Trump” in one instance and does the same thing when talking about “Democrats.”

“Trump has reignited the GOP’s longstanding obsession with mass deportation,” Manriquez said. “Like his fellow GOP candidates Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and others, GOP front runner trump [sic] dismisses a full and equal pathway to citizenship for hardworking immigrants. The GOP should quit treating these families as second class citizens and join democrats [sic] who support immigrant families and want to keep them together.”

It's about time American leaders put Americans' and America's interests FIRST.

MEMORANDUM TO MEDIA: If you want to understand Trump, realize that his appeal is to US out here, not to the pundits "in there" who only talk to each other. Trump says what we feel not what the media want to hear. That explains his popularity.

Americans are RAGING angry over broken promises, borders, immigrant invasion, arrogance, tin-eared pundits, indecency, health care, unemployment, trashing values, liars, arrogance and IGNORING OF THE VOTERS WISHES.

Baby, soon you are going to find out who rules.

Trump wants to keep the families together...just not in the US, but back where they belong. And, by the way, it's illegal immigrants!

Trump needs to work in a follow on plan to develop Mexico so those folks go home to houses jobs and schools

Many of them come here to make enough money to go home and buy a retirement house , a refrigerator, some chickens and a piece of land, anyway .... Just speed things up a bit

Send Unemployed American college graduates and American executive talent down tere to kick some butt .... If the Chinese can mass produce ghost cities we can mass produce villages for returned illegals

If any other country was driving 25% of its people into becoming refugees the UN and the U.S. would be all over them .... Isn’t this supposed to be such a wonderful culture and all

It does sound good and it is about time these liberal idiots who do nothing except take from us start sweating. I had no idea until yesterday that Section 8 types were getting some 1000-1300 plus in free rent in my area. UNREAL.

Listen up Pablo: Sneaking across the border or lying to overstay a visitor visa doesn’t make you a citizen - not even a “second class citizen.”

There is more to it than left vs right.

The businessmen/employers/chamber of commerce have a position on immigration that is in conflict with the rightwing populists.

But if you do look at only dem constituents, that would be unions and immigration lawyers.

The lawyers advocate for due process and complex regulations, because that is how they make money

Unions don't like illegals and guest workers because they are hard to organize.

It is difficult to frame it as an issue of legal vs illegal. Most of the conflicts arise over the dis-agreement as to how to solve the problem of illegals.

The businessmen/employers want the guest workers or temporary visas, except if they find a good guest worker they want to be able to convert him to permanent. The lawyers and unions want permanent visas.

The businessmen/employers back amnesty to guest worker. but the unions and lawyers back amnesty onto the path to citizenship.

It’s a very safe bet that there were plenty of heads exploding over in the Chamber of Commerce controlled GOP Establishment offices as well.

It’s not just Democrats, Republicans are worried too, Trump is rocking their little boat too.

Both want cheap labor.

I only have one question for liberals.

What part of illegal DON’T you understand?

“The GOP should quit treating these families as second class citizens”

Someone should point out that it is impossible for them to be treated like second class citizens because they are not citizens in the first place.

If they want to be treated like citizens, go home.

...heads exploding

Imagine the dilemma of the other candidates. Trump's plan is out there, and it's a very businesslike identify the problem-here's the solution approach.

All of the other candidates have very tempered statements about the problem, say enough to keep constitutional conservatives on board, leave enough wiggle room to do the bidding of the cheap labor sponsors once elected. And that includes Ted Cruz who wants lots more H1B Visas as the quiet part of his "solution".

So now, they're going to be asked if they are for or against Trump's plan. Vague statements and platitudes won't hold up. Touchdown for Trump!

I think the bottom line with the media is that they’re so used to issues being treated roughly equally. So if there are, say, 20 major issues, then each one is worth 5%. So if, hypothetically, Trump were to say that he’s good with no tax cuts and not changing Common Core, then the media (and other experts) will say something like: “...well, he’s great on immigration, but that’s only one of many issues. Common Core and not wanting to cut taxes are two issues, and therefore overrides his immigration position - and Republicans won’t support him”.

But that’s not true. What if Republicans realize that if we lose the immigration fight, then none of the other issues will matter, as we’ll simply be outvoted on them by a rock-solid Democrat Congress for generations (as in California, today)? Then immigration goes from being a 5% factor to a 70% factor...and the other issues and changed positions really matter very little, which is why the Dems and the Trump deniers are having so much trouble attacking him “on the issues”...as there is only one that counts, this time.

The other factor that they likely cannot accept is that immigration is a national issue and people in Idaho know as much about it as people in Yuma (on the Mexican border)...thanks to the Internet and the new media. They haven’t yet quite figured that out, but they will as they try to piece together how a Republican they thought was a joke was able to pull off a landslide in November, 2016.

Trump needs to work in a follow on plan to develop Mexico so those folks go home to houses jobs and schools

One would think that the Mexican gov't would demand that companies like Ford pay their Mexican employees enough to be able to afford to buy the cars they are building...That would start an economic revolution in Mexico...

Trump wants to keep the families together too. Just keep them together in Mexico. He stands to lose as much as anyone in the hotel business.

Pray America is waking

On the H1B visas, don’t the employers have to swear that they can’t find US citizens to fill the positions?

But I read that US citizens are being laid off and have to train their H1B replacements? Isn’t this fraud and perjury?

The laid off US citizens should be filing a class action suit against these companies and the DA should be filing charges.

There needs to be a memorial wall of photos of victims of illegal aliens, with flowers, teddy bears etc. and just hope lib protestors trash it while cameras roll.

I want mass deportations by the train car load, and for states to be allowed to do their own deportations.

I want a formidable wall and fencing from coast to coast to help keep the leaches out.
