I’d make the cake, but I’d let the fags know that I’m charging them triple the normal price, and that all proceeds will be donated the the family research council.

“they should make one, but make it crappy.”

But then they would be charged with a “hate crime”.

If this were a baseball game I would be chasing the members of the “other team” with a baseball bat. And the umpires would not be safe from the expression of wrath either.

But of course, even baseball has now become politically correct, too.

The problem is, he is in the business of making “custom cakes” to his customer’s specifications. So they would still find him guilty of discrimination if he followed your advice.

I hate to see good people losing their businesses over this kind of thing though. I can’t personally afford to be a martyr as I have bills to pay so at the end of the day, I would just bake an obviously substandard cake, call it an accident, charge full price anyways, and go on with my life without any legal hassles. To each their own though.

I would make an ‘exlax cake’ that should solve the problem....

If you made them a cake of bird manure, it would still "solve" their problem, which is "how do we force people to bow to the Gaystapo? "

Complying with anything they tell you to do is solving their problem, and it doesn't matter how badly you do it because it isn't the product that they want, it is YOUR FORCED COMPLIANCE!!!!!!!!

Do you not understand that they deliberately seek out bakers and photographers who do not want to do these things? That it has nothing at all do do with actually getting these things? That their only goal is to abuse the law to force people to regard their sick twisted mental disease as a protected right?

THIS IS NOT ABOUT CAKES PEOPLE!!!!!

Well you are dealing with an implacable bunch of people to begin with. You can at least cite you attempted to remedy the situation the best way you could.

Has anyone offered the artistic angle to this? It seems to me there are two separate issues. Case one is where there is a bakery with cakes already made and one refuses to sell them to someone for whatever reason. Case two is where the cake is specifically DESIGNED by the baker. I wonder if the Left really wants to cede their artistic license? If you can tell an artist what they MUST do, then you can tell them what they must not do. Artistic expression becomes invalid as exception.

we know what it’s about. When it’s your livelihood on the line, you’ll sing a different tune. I guarantee it.

Bake the cake. Tell the client that all proceeds of the sale go to either the National Right to Life committee or Ted Cruz for President. They get to pick which one. ;o)

If I were the “Happy Couple” or one of their wedding guests I would be very cautious about eating anything at the reception. Jus’ sayin’.

The best option is the one that doesn’t require hiring a lawyer to protect my very livelihood IMHO.

He would have to change that part of his business. It would appear it would be the only way to avoid making a cake he doesnt want to make.

Wonder if the courts would force him to make a pro-gun cake for the nra if he didn’t want to?

Possi ly but we can at least say we attempted to bake them a cake that did not violate our faith beliefs. The fact they didnt like it is not our problem, we didnt force them to buy it or demand they must use us as their baker.

Your solution attempts to side step the issue rather than confronting it. In an effort to side step, you merely undermine the rights which need to be defended.

The right to associate with whomever you please, and the right to disassociate with whomever you please.

My position is simple. If someone doesn't want to bake you a cake, then that ought to be their choice. They do not have to tell you the reason why, they do not have to explain themselves, they have a free will right to engage in business with someone or not as they themselves choose, and it is contrary to the principle of freedom to force them to do otherwise.

This "Freedom" thing, encompasses the right to say "no."

You shouldn’t need a lawyer for that. Last time I remember, people can’t tell you where you spend your money, or to who/whom you donate it to.

If a porn company wanted him to make a sexually explicit dirty cake, would the court force him to?

If planned parenthood wanted him to make a torn apart fetus cake, would the court force him to?

If a southern company demanded he make a confederate flag cake, would the court force him to?
