Good morning all!

Mrs p6 filled the truck last week near where she works for $2.35/gal reg. IIRC it was an opening promotional thing but she could have used a discount/cash back card that would have taken it below $2. Wisely she didn’t so she still gets $0.50+ off through the end of the month.

Meanwhile I’m getting so much guitar work/setup/repair that I can’t keep up! There are 5 sitting here right now with more coming. I might have to raise prices, LOL!

Between g-kids, guitars, cars and mrs p6’s honey do list “retirement” is killing me!

Yes, she was wise to save the .50 per gallon! We just used .60 per gal for our trip to Shadyside several days ago. Plus, we had our tire repaired that was losing air constantly and our air conditioning broke. I notice that we still have just under 1/2 a tank. Good tires/no air = less gas usage, I guess!

So you have a growing guitar repair business! I wish I could find something that I love to do and retire. I taught myself the fine art of making French/Parisian Macarons. Maybe I can take orders for those. You can’t get them around here. I could think of LOTS of things to keep me busy after I retire. Still have a couple of years to go and my boss said I’m not allowed to retire until I’m 70!

Are you retired AM? Gas is at $2.69 here.

Went to our tax appeal yesterday. Our house (oldest part built in 1804) was assessed at $99,900! HUH!! We took pictures, took in our appraisal - house appraises at $57.500 - and they lowered the assessment to 95,000! We’ll be appealing next year again. Of course, if some fool wants to buy it for 95,000, he can have it!

Gas is $2.69 here too.

I’m guessing my daughter in Ohio is now paying under two bucks.

Yep.. for over 10 years ... How can your assessment be over 165% of the market value? Something stinks in PA..

Yep. “stinks” is an understatement. Lots of lawsuits being filed. Several protests held outside courthouse. County commissioners being blamed. There’s only two companies in Pa that do assessments. They also did several other counties in eastern Pa, and same bad results. Indiana Countians are not going to sit back and take it. Much of our local economy is based on farming, and farmers got hit HARD.
