Does this mean Hillary's actual server *still* hasn't been turned over, but a useless doppelganger server has been?
The server was housed in the basement of Clinton's Chappaqua, N.Y. home while she was secretary of state. After she left office, Clinton hired Platte River Networks, which moved the system from her home to a private data center in New Jersey.
Barbara Wells, an attorney for the company, told The Post agents picked the server up at around 4 p.m. Wednesday. But she said the hard are if "now blank" and no longer contains any useful information.
"The information had been migrated over to a different sever for purposes of transition," said Wells. The transfer was carried out in June 2013, she told The Post.
"To my knowledge the data on the old server is not available now on any servers on devices in Platte River Network's control."
It is unclear whiter that means the data once maintained on Clinton's server is gone altogether or whether there is another device that contains Clinton's records. Wells did not respond to an email from The Daily Caller.

Where are the backups? I assume there are multiple backups, by day, by week, by month; so the Techs can ‘CYA’ if the real server blew up.
Perhaps a few Thumb drives have all the information. The lawyer has a thumb drive. I wonder who else has one.....

I wonder if the IT company was performing backups on the server? Funny how those backup tapes/DVDs can come back to haunt you .... can you say IRS? Judges, FBI, et al should be questioning the IT company and the Clinton mob about backup media.

I have no idea why myself and family have bothered to follow every law and try to live our lives with honesty, dignity and respect for authority. We have experienced many losses and setbacks, as many have, and there isn’t any rescue for us. We live and die with our decisions and I am desperately disgusted with the elites, such as the Clintons, who get away with it all.
Just us Freepers, on a daily basis, share their losses, strife and desperation, asking for advice and prayers. Then we see his jiving and dodging from criminals who always come out ahead. It sickens me.

IIRC, Hillary had the FBI dogging republicans on their possible hit list and she accidently lost those FBI files for a long time in her closet.
Yup. Every email has a Message ID that is generated by the originating server, and becomes a permanent part of that email. Part of the Message ID will identify the server it came from, and the rest will be a hex sequence number that gets incremented for each new email the server handles.
