NBC’s relationship with the Clintons hasn’t always been cushy.
For Vanity Fair’s September issue, contributing editor Evgenia Peretz profiled Chelsea Clinton’s life in a piece entitled, “A Clinton to the Core.” In it, Peretz researched Chelsea’s background as an NBC special correspondent by interviewing an NBC veteran as well as an NBC insider, who dubbed Chelsea as NBC’s “highest-paid ghost” who “has to be very near the top” of NBC’s “bad decisions.”
Hiring Chelsea was as good a decision as paying one of the Clinton’s an inflated speaking fee or contributing to their foundation.
The return on investment was access, not Chelsea’s work product.

This type of corruption is destroying our beloved nation.
So why would the liberal suck-ups at NBC trash Chelsea Clinton now? They paid for the access and now are undermining it by making Bill and Hillary mad? Do they realize that the USS Hillary is taking on water and is about to go under for the last time?

Y’know, what’s remarkable here is who was paying who. Normally, I’d expect a politician to try to bribe the networks (or at least influence some of the individual reporters or decision makers in the media company) for good coverage.
Here, the bribe flowed in the other direction. Those Clintons have it made! Of course, part of the calculus was Hillary’s supposed lock on the Presidency.

Ah, she doesn’t care about money, I’m sure she didn’t even notice she was grossly overpaid.
What’s more, she’s a Clinton - she’s just as entitled to a no-show gig on the networks as her mama is a taxpayer-paid residence on Pennsylvania Avenue - what’s all this noise about qualifications or talent or the like?

Chelsea a ghost? Like Mickey Featherstone was a ghost on a west side pier?
Fox News did the same thing hiring “Boobs” McCain.
No one has a review team for hiring consultants?
Be careful you don’t want to get herpes like Monica got.
And soon that access would be a valuable commodity, and neither will Chelsea.
They “hired” her to curry favor with the Clintons.
