(PPP) Trump Leads Republicans in Missouri
Public Policy Polling ^ | 8/12 | LS

Posted on 08/12/2015 5:24:57 AM PDT by LS

PPP's new Missouri poll provides more evidence that Donald Trump emerged from the first debate at least momentarily unscathed. He leads the Republican field in the state with 23% to 11% each for Jeb Bush and Ben Carson, 10% for Mike Huckabee, 9% for Ted Cruz, 8% for Scott Walker, 7% for Carly Fiorina, 6% for Marco Rubio, and 4% each for John Kasich and Rand Paul. That makes for a very clean top ten in Missouri because everyone else is at 1% or less- Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, and Rick Santorum all get 1%, George Pataki is at less than 1%, and Jim Gilmore and Lindsey Graham have literally no supporters.

What really stands out in the numbers is how broad Trump's support is- he leads with moderates (25%), 'somewhat liberal' voters (23%), and 'very conservative' voters (20%) alike. He is a lot stronger with men (30%) but he leads with women too at 16%. He's particularly strong with young voters (32%) but also leads with middle aged voters (21%) and seniors (17%). Every group we track he has the lead with on this poll.

Here is the thing, every other candidate is in favor of some form of legal status for illegals. Some are for a pathway to citizenship others are not. No pathway to citizenship sounds great but it simply will not work. The courts are not going to allow tens of millions living here to be second class citizens. Howls of modern day slavery will fill the airways. And the courts will rule that a pathway to citizenship must be provided. Either that or when the Rats take Congress, and they will at some point time, the Rats will just pass a law granting citizenship.

Only Trump sends the legals back to their home county. If they are not here they don't need legal status. If you want to keep America a constitutional republic Trump is the only choice you have. Let the left legalize 60 million new Marxist voters via amnesty and then chain immigration and the USA as we know it is toast. The 11 million illegals figure is Bull, for 15 years is been 11 million illegals the real number is closer to 30 million then 11 million.

I went to a Forbes event. He was terrible. He only talked taxes. Boring as hell. Had a big crowd that just sat on their hands.

Why so many white people in Missouri still vote for Democrats I will never know. I hope Fergueson and St. Louis will be a lesson to them. Their Governor is a Democrat too.

When are the white voters going to get it. The white Democrats and the black Democrats are working together. The Democrats feed the black pathology that has been wrecking American cities for fifty years. People, those nice looking white politicians who seem so normal like you are not normal they are with the radicals who are burning down Fergueson and Baltimore. And CNN is in on it to. People wake up your Democrat, Independent relatives, neighbors and friends.

I think we should throw the problem back on the illegals themselves. It is their personal immigration problem so they should go to immigration lawyers and see what can be done—paying those lawyers out of their own pockets—not the taxpayers pockets.

We cannot realistically have every last illegal moved and we have to realize that this is a can of worms that the illegals have made for us as well as the deceiving politicians. But first we have to do is to keep more of them from moving in and we have to make them know that we are serious by making them take care of their immigration problems on their own. Let them figure it out themselves. It is going to take a long time and not all illegals will be removed but many will. We have to take welfare benefits away from them that is one way of letting them know that we are serious. Also, many immigrants voluntarily go back to their native lands so there will be lose many illegals by attrition.

That's nothing. Come caucus time in Missouri they show up with people to support their candidate (probably Jeb) and use parliamentary procedures to try to freeze out any opposition. Last time it was Romney.

So if you want to get behind a candidate you better have at LEAST 64 supporters to vote with you or you are screwed.

It is depressing. BUT we have a year and a half to something about it. If you have a candidate you like that’s viable come December look for the local coordinator of that candidate and volunteer to be a delegate and go to the caucus and support your guy.

You mention the west being tamed. Daniel Boone said in later life he realized he had a lot more in common with all the Indians he killed than he did with white men.
