BOSTON (AP) — The furor on Capitol Hill over Planned Parenthood has stoked a debate about the use of tissue from aborted fetuses in medical research, but U.S. scientists have been using such cells for decades to develop vaccines and seek treatments for a host of ailments, from vision loss to cancer and AIDS.
Anti-abortion activists triggered the uproar by releasing undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials that raised questions of whether the organization was profiting from the sale of fetal tissue. Planned Parenthood has denied making any profit and said it charges fees solely to cover its costs.
University laboratories that buy such cells strongly defend their research, saying tissue that would otherwise be thrown out has played a vital role in lifesaving medical advances and holds great potential for further breakthroughs.

I get sick of these morons that run around waving a worthless piece of paper and calling themselves “ doctors, professors, experts and scientists.” My sister was a “professional college student” for quite some time. They finally gave her a “masters” in “education” toget rid of her. That was about ten years ago. She hasn’t worked one day since she graduated. All she does is sit around voting for liberal DemocRATs.
Not to mention, if it takes the killing of babies to cure something, mayhap we are better off living with the malady.

There is NO Natural Right to kill human beings for “scientific” research. In our so-called “Justice” (virtue) System you can NEVER use human beings in evil, degrading, dehumanizing ways (as a Means to an End), like the Nazis and Stalin did. That is a Satanic System and NOT a Justice System in the American sense—which is based on Individual Natural Rights from God.
Of course, SCOTUS has thrown out Rule of Law for their evil, vile pagan/satanic “ethics” system (Stalin’s Constitution). They actually promote Vice, like killing and sodomizing others and theft (welfare) which makes our Just Laws oxymoronic. The promotion of dehumanizing acts is always unconstitutional even if promoted by the “intellectual” (satanic) class.
Certain SCOTUS members should be in prison for Treason and destroying the Words and Meaning of our Constitution-—the one they took an OATH to defend. We need to go back to a true “Justice” System and put these “scientists” in prison along with PP personnel who sell baby parts. To allow killing babies is an abomination-—along with promotion of sodomy “for our children”-—normalizing Afghani behaviors.
The scary sci-fi one is that you end up with a lab grown organ actually grown from the aborted baby you or your kid killed, with all the ethical ramifications and horror story plots that can follow that.
It is a lie that fetal tissues are “necessary” for research breakthroughs. They are not necessary for *any* kind of research. A scientist can spend a whole career productively without EVER using fetal tissues.
The article is disingenuous in claiming that fetal cells have been essential for developing vaccines and so forth. The cells used for those vaccines are cell lines—yes, they were established from the tissues of murdered babies, but cell lines are essentially immortal. No further babies have to be killed to maintain those cells. (Unless you count the fetal calves which are necessary to feed the cells.) Many researchers use other cells to develop vaccines—dog cells, cells from non-murdered people, etc.
One other thing is the claim about stem cells. An embryo’s cells receive a LOT of signals, telling them how to grow. When the cells are removed from that highly controlled environment, they grow uncontrollably. This is why attempts to use embryonic stem cells can result in tumors. Another aspect of the stem cells is that the younger the embryo they are removed from, the less like the mature tissue they are. So it takes a lot more manipulation to induce those cells to differentiate into the mature tissue, and we know almost nothing about the exact steps required. On the other hand, stem cells extracted from the patient are already partially differentiated into the mature tissue, and only need a little manipulation to mature. Plus, a patient’s stem cells cause no rejection problems as stem cells from an embryo would.
One other thing: for researchers who absolutely must research fetuses, there are plenty of fetuses that die naturally and are available for research. Also, they can do the research in animals—which is how *most* embryologists do their research. In fact, a LOT of embryonic development isn’t even done in vertebrates—it’s done in fruit flies and worms. So there is absolutely no moral problem with their research at all.
Speaking as a researcher, I am appalled that the scientific profession is being made to look so ghoulish by the ilk of those abortion promoters.
I am sure nazi scientists made the same statements.

Do you really believe that the scientific community can use over a million aborted babies a year? That’s the number - add up the labs in the country doing this type of research then remember they’re splitting up over a million babies a year. It doesn’t add up...
