The “talent” pool remains untapped because it’s collecting free food stamps, subsidized housing, Obamaphones and Obamacare while sitting at home binge-watching soft porn TV like Game of Thrones and Orange is the New Black.

Who with a brain didn’t see this coming? This is the future of all fast food operations that want to survive and make a profit.

I think Wawa started it. Also in PA and visited by Romney on his campaign trail.

The only way to make Sheetz food better is to eat the wrapper instead of the sandwich.

Who’s next to be replaced by robots - farm workers.

We’re allowing low-skill people to come into this country to fill jobs that won’t exist in ten years.

I suspect they have various prototype kiosks now. All the needed is a easy to use UI for the cusimter in a touch screen and credit card and bill/coin reader in a case that matches their decor, and one cashier to watch them.

Wendy’s is going to need to invent a robot to scrape up the burger patties that fall on the floor and toss them into the chili pot.

Actually one of the benefits will be that robots don't drop patties on the floor or go to the bathroom and return to the production area without washing their hands, go out and have a smoke and return to the production floor without washing their hands, sneeze into their hands and continue working without washing their hands, handle dirty money and then food without washing their hands..............you see a trend here? Sanitation was one of the biggest and hardest things to drive into the heads of my employees, irregardless of what nationality or color!

Well...what does a restaurant manager know about that? Probably can’t fathom a salary that amounts to hundreds per hour.

She probably doesn’t have a huge salary and, perhaps, resents how much the good servers make in tips.

Liberalism is based entirely on emotion propaganda and disinformation.

That might be more accurate.

Useful Idiots reacting like Pavlov's dogs.

(Comparison possibly unfair to dogs)

Five guys has only one order taking employee. Most orders are sent in Directly by customers using their computers or smart phones. And, you can have light, medium, or heavy amounts of over 15 condiments and additives _ you get your burger exactly fixed the way you want it. And it’s ready when you arrive - no waiting - thy just greet you, babe you your stuff, and you leave in less then thirty seconds.

Those pushing for $15/hr are clueless about how staggeringly bad the idea is - and I'm talking _way_ beyond the obvious of Wendy's et al replacing cashiers with touchscreens.

This article explains that for those living to a great degree on welfare and trying to get off (those the $15/hr proponents allege sympathy for) face a devastating blow when their pay exceeds about $12/hr. At around $12/hr, that earned income plus all the entitlement handouts they're entitled to equates to about $38/hr of straight earned income. That means that above $12/hr, they have to push their earned income to over THREE TIMES that _just_ to break even and enjoy the same standard of living! $15/hr is the cliff where they are starting to suffer notable reduction in total income, and just before total income crashes, bottoming out around $18/hr where they lose almost all entitlements.

Ya know, occurs to me that the $15/hr wasn't just picked at random as a nice round number evoking "fairness", it really is the highest minimum wage can be pushed before direct beneficiaries of such legislation would go "HOLY $#!^ WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY INCOME YOU STUPID *****?!?!?" duly attacking those Leftists who got it legislated. As others note, it really isn't about minimum wage per se, it's about jacking up higher salaries indexed to that minimum - and $15/hr is as far up as that can be driven. The evil at work here is staggering.

A couple of decades ago a tornado went down the Shenandoah Valley. It touched down three times, each time it destroyed a Sheetz station, thus we have the saying “3 Sheetz to the wind.”
