Sure, freedom within God's creation and boundaries is a gift from God and true freedom. Outside of His boundaries is bondage. Judaism was once the true religion. Jesus revealed that it became infested with unbelievers and men bereft of God's Word who hijacked the religion. True sons of Abraham are those who follow God's Word and believe in the rejected Jewish Messiah.

Rome, at one time followed God's Word and was among the sons of Abraham. It has become infested Nicolaitans and Sodomites bereft of God's Word who have hijacked the Roman Catholic Religion. True sons of Abraham are those who reject Rome and follow God's Word (written by the apostles) worship Jesus Christ (not Mary and the Saints).

Empire State Building Goes Red for Communist China, Sparking Protest
FoxNews.com ^ | October 1, 2009 | Joseph Abrams

Sept. 30: The Empire State Building lit
in red and yellow to honor the 60th anniversary
of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

NEW YORK — New York is seeing red over the decision to turn the city's highest beacon — and one of America's symbols for free enterprise — into a shining monument honoring China's communist revolution Wednesday night.

This next one, amazingly, is from the left-wing Huffington Post. Don't know if the author is still employed there or not.

Mao Takes Manhattan: Empire State Building Goes Red and Yellow for China
September 30, 2009

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China under Communist rule and Mao's 1949 revolution, the Chinese will hold a military parade in Beijing on Thursday of unparalleled size -- 5,000 soldiers, 43,000 fireworks and a display of 52 new weapons -- followed by a civilian parade of 100,000 marchers and 60 floats, many chanting new nationalistic mantras coined by the Chinese government for the occasion.

For a nation that worships Mao, and the path of development and prosperity the Chinese people believe he charted, nothing less would do to commemorate its 60th anniversary.

But when it comes to the commemoration of China's 60th anniversary in the U.S., perhaps we could -- and should -- expect a little less.

Wednesday night in New York City, the Empire State Building will illumine its familiar spire with red and yellow lights in honor of Communist China. The Communism-themed color scheme will stay lit through Thursday night, much to the delight of China's consular officials, who were on hand for a ceremony in the lobby of the iconic building Wednesday morning, and to the acute dismay of the dozen or so protesters outside, and to many Americans who question whether honoring China's Communist revolution here is at all appropriate.

What’s your authority, where does it come from, and how do you know?

God's Word, as given to us by His Apostles, is our authority...

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

I am not afraid of Kali. She has no power over me because the Spirit of Jesus Christ dwells in me and protects me from demons (and from those who follow the demons)...

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

She’s got you. Your words betray your persona. You are filled with angst, remorse, and regret. She’s teaching you a valuable lesson as we speak.

Honestly, I am not afraid of Kali. Even though the naked multi-arm, blue goddess can be somewhat seductive, her tongue and dead men around her turn me off. But Captain Kirk might...

I am much more afraid of God's judgment on America because of Planned Parenthood and sodomy! I am praying for His mercy when He judges this country...

Those dead men around her neck are all those souls who thought they were “it”. Anyway, symbolism, mythology, and Carl Jung are not for you.

As for God’s judgement on America...it’s already announced. We are the next Rome. Read Anthony Everitt’s Rise of Rome. Our demise will be much faster than the Roman empire’s collapse.

How do we know what’s authentic and what’s bogus?

“America has become what it was always meant to be, a place that celebrates the ungoverned self.”

But this is not true. Nor is it true that we have a “Constitution that exalts autonomy answerable to no higher power...”

What is true, however, is that an “autonomy answerable to no higher power” does destroy The Constitution. John Adams — who had extensive, contemporaneous, personal knowledge as to what this country “was always meant to be” — acknowledged as much, and expressly stated the incapacity of government to successfully combat the depravity of human nature.

He wrote, “...we have no government, armed with power, capable of contending with human passions, unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution, as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

As far as what America “was always meant to be,” Adams asserts, “The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence, were...the general principles of Christianity.” This nation was founded upon a Constitution best suited for men who, be they Christian or no, possessed that righteous self-government which springs from such morality and virtue as have their headwaters at the foot of The Cross of Christ. Only under such a system as this could there arise in the Earth a nation in which freedom was made tangible to all men after a fashion so nearly as humanly possible to that spiritual freedom the Scriptures proclaim, “whom The Son sets free, is free, indeed.”

That is what America “was always meant to be”; what our founders hoped — perhaps against Hope, itself — that America would become. Not that every man must be a Christian; most certainly not that every man must be a Christian of a specific persuasion; certainly, however, that every man must govern himself aright as is not possible save that every man embrace a morality and virtue greater than himself, which morality and virtue emanate from but one eternal Source. The founders weren’t ignorant of human nature; they likely had a better grasp of it than we. They knew that — should human nature gain the upper hand — this nation would descend into grievous tyranny.

Adams expressed this foreboding on more than one occasion:

He wrote in one letter, “The only foundation of a free Constitution is pure Virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People in a greater Measure than they have it now, They may change their Rulers and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting Liberty. They will only exchange Tyrants and Tyrannies.”

And this upon the 50th Anniversary of our Independence, “My best wishes, in the joys, and festivities, and the solemn services of that day on which will be completed the fiftieth year from its birth, of the independence of the United States: a memorable epoch in the annals of the human race, destined in future history to form the brightest or the blackest page, according to the use or the abuse of those political institutions by which they shall, in time to come, be shaped by the human mind.”

And to his wife he wrote this, perhaps his most intimate revelation of personal reservation, “Posterity! you will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in Heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.”

And, indeed, is this not what we now see made manifest in this country; taking shape before our very eyes? But it is not, as you say, “what it was always meant to be”; rather it is what the infernal havoc of fallen human nature has wrought in corrupting what was so truly envisioned, and so dearly purchased.
